Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan said nuclear power should either be free for all states or banned completely.
He warned that the “inequality” between states who have nuclear power and who do not undermines global balances.
This comes amid global concern following news that Iran has exceeded limits to its uranium stockpile and was enriching the chemical to beyond limitations imposed by the Iran nuclear deal.
Earlier this month, Tehran announced it would use advanced centrifuges prohibited under the deal.
President Erdogan said: “The position of nuclear power should either be forbidden for all or permissible for everyone.” …

People who talk this way, want free stuff that cost others a lot to research and build safely and operate properly.
Idi Amin already beat Sultan Erdogan to that idea:
“I propose getting rid of conventional armaments and replacing them with reasonably priced hydrogen bombs that would be distributed equally throughout the world.”
We might don’t like nuclear Turkey but there are no legit arguments agaist his statement. Nuclear weapons proved to be a single worthy deterrent against regime change.
Some freepes earlier predicted this outcome. WMD profiferation is inevitable. You just can’t say the entire naton it is uworthy of it while another is worthy. Thermonuclear war is also inevitable at this point.
Turkey is a muslim scumbucket. Nothing a little underwater nuclear explosion in the tunnel next to Istanbul wouldn’t cure.

Russia has been supplying Turkey with “defense” missiles since a deal was made two years ago. They have been supplying the S-400 that can shoot down aircraft at a distance of up to 150 miles (240 km) and intercept ballistic missiles up to 38 miles away.
The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said the US had protected Fethullah Gulen, the cleric (and Pennsylvania resident) he blames for an attempted coup in 2016. Turkey already has 50 nuclear missiles under the control of the US at Incirlik AFB, in Turkey. They are there under a treaty signed by Turkey in 1982. But that was before Obama and Erdogan had different ideas concerning the use of terrorist groups in Syria. Now it appears Putin and Erdogan have a combined idea on the Syria situation.
But I don’t think Putin wants to create a problem between the US and Russia so any ICBM capacity missiles will either come from Pakistan, Eqypt, or North Korea from Russia but with a different name on the hood.

Seen a lot of reports that us nukes are not subject to Turkey.
I spent 25 of my 32 years in NBC for the military. I have been to Incirlik. The nukes there are part of a joint control for the Turkish government and the US is charged with security and control.
But the Turkish government has been buying CANDU-6 reactors from Canada and using heavy water from the US for years. It was the CANDU reactors that created the hydrogen bomb test by India in 1998, Operation Shakti, a 45 KT bomb. But now India is also capable of creating tritium more efficiently by irradiation of lithium-6 in reactors.
In the CANDU reactors the tritium is periodically extracted. There is significant public controversy about radioactive emissions from nuclear power plants, and for CANDU plants one of the main concerns is tritium. In 2007 Greenpeace published a critique of tritium emissions from Canadian nuclear power plants and those sold to other countries to include Turkey.

Proliferation like that guarantees a nuclear war; MAD and the fear thereof is not universal. And Erdogan is arguing for Iran in particular to have nukes. Why are you falling for the arguments of madmen?
