Former Vice President Joe Biden made another gaffe on Tuesday, this time suggesting that his child tax credit plan will put "720 million women" back into the workforce.
Speaking at the Workers’ Presidential Summit in Philadelphia, the 2020 frontrunner mocked the idea of having a tax break for "a racehorse" and not one for having children.
"You get a tax break for a racehorse, why in God's name couldn't we provide an $8,000 tax credit for everybody who has childcare costs?" Biden told the crowd. "It would put 720 million women back in the workforce. It would increase the GDP, to sound like a wonk here, by about eight-tenths of one percent. It would grow the economy."
According to the U.S. Census, there are 330 million people living in the country.

One thing both parties need to realize is that a growing number of young people equate “work” with “slavery”; Biden would understand how little this appeals to his intended base, and Trump would realize how his job figures/economic improvement - while rallying many - are either meaningless or downright insulting to many losers.
While improved employment for blacks and Hispanics is great all around, there are still those who have lost their excuses for not working...
BTW, Western Europe is desperately trying to pay young women to stay home and raise children (they’ve actually had programs for years), and they fail - money is a short-term obstacle. There are much more pressing issues such as commitment to a family and children, and the loss of “choices”, that cause people to forego families. The idea of sharing parental responsibility (and rights) if a marriage/relationship goes south irks many, and the financial responsibility for children that may become strangers after a break-up scares many off as well.
I have children, but can understand why people today have no confidence that they’ll be employed for more than ten years in any position. Many of the people thriving today do so by picking up and following jobs, and that is very disruptive to families - especially if mortgages are involved.
I guess you could say Biteme’s proposal would put teeth in the tax cut.

Those "ideas" in the debate are scaring people, even people who normally hate trump and even decision makes in DC and in the media.
I'm more optimistic that (1)President Trump will return to Deplorable priorities and stop listening to DC swampthings who have polluted his administration (2) win because folks not thrilled with him would rather have four more years of President Trump than the possibility of eight years of storm troopers invading their homes.
When my generation, and maybe baby boomers will keep total crazy from happening, are gone, is it the end of any chance to bring us back from the slippery slpe we're on?

There should not be a child tax credit. Why should I have to pay for a woman to have sex and it result in a child? That was her choice. It’s bad enough to have to pay for her child’s education but why do I also get stuck with what is essentially paying her to have more sex and more kids?

I believe the primary purpose of full-day kindergarten and pre-K is to simply transfer more taxpayer wealth through the teachers’ unions into the Dem Party coffers; rather than having illegals babysit these children while the parents work (an untaxable transaction), this will simply put the burden of daycare on ALL property tax payers while sending much of that money on to the party.
These programs contributed to the tax nightmare in NJ, and some towns eliminated them as a result; others continued them with the parents alone paying for them. NJ doesn’t even require schooling until 1st grade; this is simply taxpayer-funded daycare. It is unpopular because American taxpayers quickly see they are paying for primarily foreign children to attend.
Gonna need a WIDER OPEN BORDER to get all of them hired.

We need to have Joe tell us about the tax break for a race horse, or for that matter any other horse. They guy absolutely knows nothing about anything, he’s a blithering idiot who can’t keep his mouth shut.
Yes, if you are in the business of buying, selling horses, or any other livestock you can get write off expenses. I guess there are probably some Dems making a living selling children, so there’s that.
I showed cutting horses for a long time and if you want an audit, write off all your expenses, it’s damn hard to show that you did it all with the intention of making a profit! It still pisses me off no end that you write nothing off, then when you have a good day and win over $1000, guess what? They take income tax out of it!
Stay-at-home moms do not take government money to pay for the privilege.
Families with stay-at-home moms sacrifice to make it on the dad’s income alone.
