Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), seizing the opportunity, hilariously pointed out something that the California government might have missed: their ban would impede the chances of their own senator, Kamala Harris, from traveling to the state that is the first nominating contest in the Democratic Party presidential primaries. He tweeted, "Wow, California's ban on travel to Iowa's really gonna hamstring Kamala Harris's presidential campaign."

Nice.
If that's not against FR rules, it certainly isn't acceptable FR cultural behavior.
(Note I used "certainly" instead of "surely." That was to preempt your "And don't call be Shirley" response.)
You are, but only a real freeper admits when he is wrong... congrats, you have my admiration.
kactlee she is not a state employee. She is an elected public official.
Republicans should call her out for violating the CA laws spirit. Also, I would look for CA employees traveling just happening to help her campaign. Does sending emails to Iowa count?
Like Ted Cruz, she is not eligible under the Article 2 Section 1 requirements for the Office of Chief Executive. Shes just raising money and tryna get laid.
Wish I could buy a sense of humor for some on this thread. The CDS is a really debilitating disorder.
Is there some way I can ban California state employees from traveling to MY state?
One ineligible zings another........

Go Ted!

Agreed - Kamela is destined to failure. But she most certainly will lose votes in Iowa when the locals call her out on the California travel ban.
As for Kalifornia, she has a job for life unless a primary challenge arises - and even weak Boxer and Feinstein had no trouble fighting those off over the past 3 decades.
I am not sure Kalifornia is doomed to failure but I’m not sticking around to find out. There is still plenty of money to be confiscated err taxed away from the tech guys before the tap runs dry in Sacto. Eventually you run out of other people’s money (as Thatcher used to say) but we are unfortunately a while from that.
