>>>Have some gold stock options so wouldn’t mind a bump there

Those will do well.

Yep. Glad I did too. The question is what do I do at market open. The potential is for a lot of money to be made. $10/tick (which is 1 cent of movement in the oil markets). But I have a feeling it will move in a crazy way. Not sure I want to risk it.

Saudi fired their oil minister. Aramco had just come out and said they wanted higher oil prices.

But destroying their own facilities doesn’t seem to be the way to do it.

That said, it is predicted to be the biggest ever IPO.

Sell part at the huge panic spike and watch for a point to get back in.

Oil futures options trade at night and present less risk but they are usually not liquid with huge spreads. Today may be different.

Nice move.

I did not know about NUGT. Now I do :)

I have been buying options on mostly small cap stocks.

But all that does is capture 1/3 of the move up that you catch with NUGT.

Thanks.

I am Good at making paper profits.

Not so good at taking them off the table.

Cause i’m greedy!!!! :) :(

Yeah oil futures are EXPENSIVE to trade, that 10 bucks a penny is a LOT!

I stay with options because you futures guys have to have nerves of steel and I don’t.

Would never sleep :)

You can also do DUST which goes up when gold goes down.

Or

GLD

But I trade NUGT. It is a damn viper, though.

I can’t do oil futures. It would make me a nervous wreck..like holding short over this weekend and then BOOM.

But they do have options and I do those.

There can be some wild gyrations especially on expiration day.

That’s probably what I am going to do. There is usually that over-reaction and then a closing of the gap. After about 30 minutes to an hour, it will probably close some of that gap and then move back up. I’ll probably make my move then.

I’ll probably also pick up some options on USO tomorrow - depending on what the overnight market looks like.

Thank you!!!

I would give you my list of gold stocks I buy options on but they are so inferior to trading what you trade that I am quite sure you don’t want them.

I don’t want them now lol.

Boy your know your stuff. We have to stay in touch :)

I bought something called GV before the hurricane.

Dead end nowhere stock but I read it could get a lot of work in repairs if hurricane hit.

I bought it the wed before for 5 cents an option, the october 2.50 options.

Two days later they were each worth 30 cents!!!! at one point!!

But my INSANE greed made me sell none!!!! 600 percent profit in two nights and i wanted more!!

The worst part was making more depended on the hurricane devastating the US, which was terrible.

Good news for country is hurricane was dud.

Bad news for me options went right back down to 5 cents :)

Greedy slob lol

You are SMART to trade so close to expiration options.

There is no time value built in anymore and the return on a right move can be Incredible!!

I made 2500 percent once on lucent a million years ago on a CRAZY earnings move on an expiring option on a friday.

But i’ve made very little aggregate through the years because i’m undisciplined, greedy and lazy :)

At least i’m honest!!

I played soybean and corn options when i was younger.

Wow you are AWESOME!!

>>>I stay with options because you futures guys have to have nerves of steel and I don’t.

LOL. So - I've traded 10 contracts of /CL before. Every tick was $100. I have also traded 4 contracts of NQ (Nasdaq) - with each tick moving $20 and each tick being a $.25 on the Nas and I've traded 5 ticks of silver ($25/tick) and 5 ticks of 30-year t-bonds (31.25/tick).

One day - hand to God true story - I day traded 340 calls on SPY. It worked out ;-)

Sometimes my Fitbit Versa cardio readout is very "interesting"

As I mentioned in another post - some poor sap did just that...and he is trading /CL with only a $5K account! He HELD SHORT through the weekend. Needless to say - he is in full-blown panic mode. He was on the board looking for advice.

GOOD LORD!!

That’s Way out of my category.

I’d drop dead right after I placed the order.

Hey, I remember having to CALL Lind Waldock (I think that was the name) to place orders. :)

No internet then!
