I bet if you went to any college campus in the USA and posed as a TV reporter with a camera crew and asked any student at random:
“Hey mind if I ask you a question? Mass shootings are out of control, do you agree it’s high time Congress made murder illegal before any more innocent people are killed?”
90% of the students would agree with you and even repeat it.
“Yes it’s time we made murder illegal because a lot of people are dying and stuff and it has to be stopped”
