Full title: Trump jubilant in tweet blitz over NC victories, calls it ‘big night’ for Republicans
President Donald Trump launched a tweet blitz overnight Wednesday to celebrate party victories in two North Carolina races for U.S. Congress, calling it a “big night for the Republican party.”
Republican Dan Bishop won a tight District 9 race and Republican Greg Murphy was victorious by a wide margin in the state’s 3rd Congressional District, the Charlotte Observer reported Wednesday.
Trump visited North Carolina this week to stump for Bishop, and seemed to take particular pride in defeating Democrat Dan McCready.
“Dan Bishop was down 17 points 3 weeks ago. He then asked me for help, we changed his strategy together, and he ran a great race,” Trump tweeted.

My take is that the Lumbee switching over from D to R gave Bishop his margin of victory.

Actually,the fake polls early on make the win that much more “in their face”.
Local North Carolina ABC affiliate (WTVD-11) would/could/did not mention one word of the results on it’s morning news. Butthurt they were.

I don’t believe that for a freakin minute. Just more erroneous, fraudulent bogus polling as in 2016. In all likelihood Bishop was down 3 maybe 4 points and the late deciders and the Trump/Pence effort pulled him across the finish line

But, having reported the 17 points down poll, the media is now stuck with either allowing Trump to claim a great come from behind victory - or- admitting their original poll was bogus.
The Lumbee are heavily concentrated in Lumberton and surrounding Robeson County.
Dunn is not to my knowledge in the 9th, they’re in the 2nd.
FYI, the phrase the President uses is, BIG LEAGUE. Not bigly.

That is why Trump needs a big campaign ralley in Orange Co. So Cal next October. There are a number of Frosh Dems that won long held Republican districts. Time to remind those people the non existent accomplishments of the Scumbag (women) Socialist they put into office.

Trump SHOULD be jubilant: this appears to me to be a bellwether election, not necessarily BECAUSE Trump saved a clearly doomed election, but because of the WAY the election was saved, a WAY that SHOULD serve as a winning template for the GOP in nearly ALL House elections, namely go totally pro-Trump on the issues and attack the Dem as a lackey of the insane Dems and force the Dem opponent to either defend or deny each and every insane position being advocated by the gaggle of nutjob Dem presidential contenders ...
I listened to Bishop at the Trump rally Monday evening, and basically heard him unabashedly position himself as a Trump mini-me by convincingly parrot every major Trump position, yet friends near NC 9th tell me bishop was NOT doing that when he was down 17 points, but instead was running some kind of namby-pampy, watered-down, GOPe/RINO, consultant-driven, conventional pablum and drivel campaign that is typical of the losing kind of GOP campaign. But then bishop apparently took Trump’s advice (probably out of desperation) and switched to a hell-fire and brimstone, full-bore, damn-the-torpedoes, pro-everything-Trump type campaign and consequently came back from that deficit and won with a bigger margin than the GOP did in 2018 in that district.
I’ve been advocating here that ALL GOP House members run a campaign in 2020 based solely on national, pro-Trump, anti-socialist-nutjob-insanity issues and force their Dem opponents to either deny or defend the insanity being advocated by the Dem presidential candidates ...
If the above is really what actually happened in bishop’s case, then all other GOP House candidates should realize that the above is a template for a winning campaign and successful election, and they ALL should do their damndist to replicate it!

a friend who lives near that district (NC 9th) says that NO national or even NC Dem campaigned for McCready, presumably so that McCready could maintain his fake position that he was “independent”, even though everyone knew how much of his money came from out of state national organizations ...

The Democrats adore their very own total failure!!! Simply do not tune in to their 2020 POTUS debate tomorrow evening, Thursday, September 12th, 2019. Make it a repeat of their paltry....”no one was watching” “Climate Change Town Hall”!!! Do it!!! CNN won’t mind ...they loving being last just like their Democrat Party Masters!!!
