NC-9 Special Election Discussion
Bishop (R) vs McCready (D)
Not any more.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISTRICT 09 (VOTE FOR 1)
Precincts Reported: 18 of 210
NAME ON BALLOT PARTY BALLOT COUNT PERCENT
Dan McCready DEM 47,439 54.15%
Dan Bishop REP 39,727 45.35%
Jeff Scott LIB 275 0.31%
Allen Smith GRE 158 0.18%
Wow they have already declared Murphy the winner in his race? Good but that sure is early.
Good thing its a GOP request them.
North Carolina 3rd was never in doubt. North Carolina 9th is the one where the Democrats have a chance of flipping it.
Not looking good for Bishop in NC-9.
Scotland county 100% in with the following results:
McCready 3,644 55.33%
Bishop 2,804 43.3%
Scott 21 .32%
In 2018 it looked like this:
Dan McCready DEM 5,908 55.90%
Mark Harris REP 4,463 42.23%
Jeff Scott LIB 197 1.86%
Bishop is slightly better than Harris was the last time around...
From the stats it looks like the dems have a much better ground game. We need to step this up.

And right now - sadly - it looks like that is going to happen.
There’s no Murphy in the race!
Nate Cohn: “Scotland County is complete. McCready won it by 12.9, down from 13.7 in the general.
Consistent with another close race, though that’s a decent result for the GOP”
I can’t stand this.
I’m heartsick, it is scary how many people will vote for the crap that these Democrats are touting.
Murphy is in district 3 per the election site.
“Scotland county 100% in ...”
Yep. Some good news.
Ny times #s suddenly reverted.
Bishop ran a lousy campaign. Hopefully, President Trump can pull him through.
On the plus side Jones, the previous 3rd district rep, was such a moderate RINO and Trump opponent that if his replacement is a conservative then it'll be like picking up a seat.
NYT had bogus numbers on their site. They just fixed it.
Scotland County is democrat?
