No ratings are yet available for CNNs 7-hour climate hysteria town hall, but it is hard to believe that a lot of people watched. Masochists are not a huge demographic slice of the population, and as for the true believers, well, it does burn a lot of electricity to spend 7 hours in front of the boob tube. My guess is that CNN had even fewer viewers than usual for its evening.
So, who on earth would buy commercials during such a broadcast? Did CNN offer really deep discounts?
If one were going to predict which segments of the population would be least attracted to hour upon hour of haranguing over their immoral use of air conditioning, air travel and meat-laden diets, surely the target demographics of the commercials that followed Pete Buttigiegs 40 minute segment (in which he said, its kind of a sin to not act on climate change) would be among them.
Zach Parkinson, Deputy Director of Communications - Research for Trump 2020 captured the abusrdity in a tweet:
2020 Dems: big business, air travel, and meat are all to blame for the climate crisis.
CNN: Tonight's town hall brought to you by Invesco, Priceline, and Golden Corral's endless meat buffet!

I suspect Global Warming is changing the radio stations in my car when I’m not driving.
That was 7 hours of someones life wasted.
—
Anyone who would sit through 7 hours of that tripe is already pretty f*ing wasted.
Bump
Or was setting up a record busting drinking game. LOL! They would have been wasted at the end of that marathon of climhysteria.
We need global warming to cook all that Red Meat at the Golden Corral.
I happen to like Golden Corral. You’d think they would have better sense than to waste their profits on this .
I'm pretty sure that was the target audience.
Might be a stretch to call what they have at Golden Corral meat, but I get the point..
Confessed meat snob here. Always fresh off the farm.
Reminds me when Castro used to spew out forever on Cuban TV.
Can’t wait until the Democrats start “Show Trials” if they get in power. God help the United States.
My daughter, her husband and I recently visited my sister in Kingwood TX. We had dinner one night at Texas Roadhouse. Best steak we ever had .......Glad they didn’t advertise on that ridiculous tv spectacle.
I couldn’t watch because I was having too much fun watching the dogs and squirrels licking up the antifreeze at the end of my driveway.
I dunno, there is a huge market for the delusional these days.
Even “ the children of the corn “ who once watched CNN have largely figured out that this network is a disaster.
Spending seven hours on this inane topic just proves how desperate CNN is to fill up air time.
Me neither. Played an acoustic jam session at the Red Dog Salon in Virginia City instead. That was fun.
Seems like some body wasted some advertising dollars.
“We had dinner one night at Texas Roadhouse. “
I will tell you one thing. Though it is a chain, I have never had a bad meal there, and the quality is pretty uniform everywhere in the country. I do feel sorry for the poor servers having to do that ridiculous dance thing though.
