Joe Biden defended the heartfelt war story he told a New Hampshire crowd last week as having gotten its 'essence' correct after an analysis showed it was nearly entirely fabricated, or a combination of unrelated memories.
The former vice president brushed aside a Washington Post report showing he got numerous details wrong when he talked about awarding a Navy war hero the Silver Star.
'The assertion I made was there was a young man that I attempted to pin a medal on at the request of the commander and he said "I don’t want it. He died. He died." It turns out that’s true. The young man did say that,' Biden told The Washington Post of his tale of awarding a medal to a soldier who told Biden he didn't want it because the colleague he was trying to save died.
'They went back, I’m told – I didn’t see the story – but, yeah, it’s exactly true. That’s what I was talking about. There was a separate incident that occurred in a different time and a different circumstance. But what I was talking about was a young man. I mean, what is the gaffe when I said there is a young man I tried to pin a medal on and he said "I don’t want it sir. He died. He died. He died,"' Biden said.

Great movie! I have practiced that General’s suggestion as a way of life. Lionel Mandrake was shocked a bit by the statement, as were others, but it is a real man’s code as far as I’m concerned! “POE!” Purity of Essence!
Don’t forget that our current bankruptcy laws were written by Bank of America, handed to Biden and Carper and they pushed it through.
Then look at their homes for the payoff.

Interesting that The Compost was the first to call out the lies Plugs Biden included I his “story.” Maybe they’ve finally accepted that senile buffoon Plugs cannot survive the primaries, so they’re going for the mercy killing.
Plugs has told this story many times in various forms over the years; each time many of the details changed from version to version.
.......And he is completely baffled that anyone would think he did/said something wrong. His dementia is advancing in leaps and bounds.

Sorry to hear that. We have dealt with Alzheimer’s in the family also.
Larry Elder played audio clips from different times when Biden told the story. One time it happened in Afghanistan, other times Iraq. Sometimes it was a silver star, other times bronze. Sometimes an enlisted man, other times a navy captain. Different generals asked him to pin the medal on. He was all over the place.
