Has there been a president in living memory who relishes a fight more than Trump? I don't think so. That is a major reason why he remains popular with conservatives and has seen his favorability ratings rise.
Sure, I like President Trump's actions on job-killing regulations, tax relief, border security, energy independence, military funding, judicial appointments, and so on. But what really invigorates me and millions of other EverTrumpers is that he is fearless -- impervious to attacks by his adversaries and merciless in responding to them.
Trump is an oddity: a Republican president who stands up to the Left's defamations and brickbats and returns fire. His prickly personality is one driving force; another is Twitter, the social media megaphone he uses to bypass the legacy media's censors.
Especially gratifying to his base is Trump's war on PC and his refusal to be restrained by liberals' standards of what constitutes acceptable speech. Go after him and your race or ethnicity will not protect you from his wrath. House Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings learned this lesson recently, to his chagrin. In a nation where Trumpers are afraid to wear a MAGA cap in public, who else would dare to call out a civil rights icon on conditions in his district?
The drumbeat of criticism and calumny directed at the president by his political opponents and the media have had no discernible physical or emotional effect on him, except perhaps to make him more energetic and determined, and his tweets more sharply worded and devastating. Meanwhile, those who spew venom in their rage against the man are diminished. (See the latest comment by Rob "Meathead" Reiner.) As he fends off with alacrity the daily assaults on his character, intelligence, and motives, supporters like me are heartened.

Many moons ago I attended a midwest university where I got to know several kids from NYC.
They were often rude, crude, sometimes lewd, but when push came to shove, they were the best friends a person could ever have!

Amen to that! That's one area where the previous two Republican presidents completely dropped the ball. Why? Bush I reportedly told Bush II that it "wasn't presidential" to respond to attacks, and W took his advice. They both forgot that a Republican President must also support the party (and that, more than anything, includes their voters).
You want to act "presidential"? Wear a suit to the office every day, like Mr. Reagan. And do NOT bring the interns into your private restroom, like Clinton; do NOT make fund-raising calls from your office phone, like Gore; and do NOT spend most of your time on the golf course, like whats-his-name (that guy who was on the golf course all the time). But also do NOT neglect your other responsibilities, like encouraging your supporters - and that definitely includes responding to bull sh!t attacks from the Dems & their sycophant-media...

I hope the rats embarrass themselves w/impeachment and Senate trial. It will reveal the emptiness of their irrational hatred.
In turn, when Obama is revealed as the leader of the 2016/2017 coup, it will make his indictment and trial easy to justify.
We need to enjoy this time, when he leaves the scene we will have the likes of the Judge Smails GOP back in charge. Arrogant, condescending, “extreme conservatives “ making the usual BS promises and cowering like whipped wussies to the media. God never produced a more cowardly and traitorous lot.
I lived to see Reagan and Trump in the White House and watched them do something special for the country and world.
We need to make sure we all come out to vote next year and ensure that our fighter gets another four years.
Indictment is a must to expose how crooked and crazy the left are they are a risk to freedom.
