‘Violation’: Michigan Says The City Of Flint’s Mayor Hasn’t Bothered To Do Basic Tests Of Its Water For Lead.. ( Full title).

...

Michigan’s environmental agency said Flint has failed to do basic testing of its water and ignored a previous warning.

It slammed the city for blocking contractors from using “hydrovac,” the cheapest and least-disruptive technology for testing lines. The prohibition was widely viewed as intended to steer contracts to a politically connected firm that lacked the proper equipment, at the expense of residents.

National Democratic candidates have used Flint to criticize Republicans and environmental policies.

Mayor Karen Weaver’s allies have hidden behind race to fend off criticism even though she is facing a black opponent in the mayoral election. A councilman called her opponent a “house

Michigan’s environmental agency issued a violation notice to Flint in August and said the Michigan city has not done basic testing of its water for lead levels.

...

The City was out of compliance on July 1, 2019. To return to compliance, the City must collect samples from 60 confirmed Tier 1 sites … have them analyzed for lead and copper; and submit the analysis reports to” EGLE, said the letter

The violation notice comes as Democratic politicians frequently cite Flint as a victim of the national Republican Party

Does not matter.

The media used the Flint water mess to take down Rick Snyder and pretty much all the other Republicans in Lansing.

It only sticks to you when there’s an “R” next to your name.

I hope enough people of Flint are paying attention, and refuse to vote that mayor back in. She’s an example of politicians who don’t want to solve the big problems. Instead, the mayor plans to keep her cronies going, collecting more public funds for a longer period than necessary.

That councilman who called a political opponent a House N**gr
needed to resign yesterday. I’m from Michigan, but not Flint.I would be ashamed to call low grade, ignorant trash like him, a City Leader. This is the ghetto-mentality kind of black person who thinks students getting high grades are ‘tryin’ to act white.’ John Conyers was also that way, and more many decades.

Most of the upper echelon of the Flint politicians are from the race of professional victims. Continual race baiting and professional victimology is no way to lead and improve any city of the US.

The ACLU documented the Flint Department of Environmental Quality engineers were falsifying lead tests.

The governor believed the water was safe because Flint officials were submitting false lead tests which told him the water was safe:

I did live on the outskirts of Flint.

Google “Woodrow Stanley”. He’s pretty typical of what you’re dealing with there.

And the media saw to it that this was Michigan's best kept secret. The truth has no chance when up against what most people believe.

Here's another lead crisis that got little attention because they couldn't tag it to a Republican:

Hell, there’s a lead crisis here in Pittsburgh.

My late parents had to buy filters and test their water monthly. But they were on the city run system (as opposed to the private company that serves some areas), so that would reflect poorly on Democrats. Particularly on Mayor Bippy McBikepath.
