With the Fight for $15 External link making headlines, opinions abound about whether raising the federal minimum wage will have a positive or negative effect on unemployment rates. Advocates of an increase cite the impossible task of making ends meet on todays paltry sum of $7.25 an hour and say an increase would have little effect on the overall economy. Those against such a move predict that doing so would cause employers to lay off more and hire lessraising unemployment rates as a result. As is often the case with such emotionally charged issues, especially in an election year, the broader conversation about the minimum wage tends to involve more feeling than historical fact. To balance such a dynamic, we decided to turn to the data to see what it reveals.

I mentioned confiscatory taxes in my post. Would you think that confiscatory taxes is essentially an illegal fifth amendment taking of private property for public use? After all, income taxes are legal, but usury is not. Taxes aren't loans, but tax rates that are punitive are not "necessary and proper" to fund federal legislation.
The question I posed was not directly about punishing high income earners, but rather, posing whether maximum wages trickle down to better minimum wages than legislators' arbitrary minimum wages?

Fully obtuse; you’re not even going to meet ANYONE halfway on a point of fact, are you. (Statement, not a question.)
Arguing in bad faith is a ‘soiling’ thing to do; I’m going to put you in that category and move on ...

No you don't get it. Every law passed by a state or the Congress is considered Constitutional until proven otherwise. Laws are not subject to SCOTUS review prior to being enacted. That is NOT a requirement.
In the case of the min wage laws many have felt like you they were unconstitutional and ALL lost their cases.

You may enjoy this link to legislation proposed and approved by that well-known left-wing commie socialist Gen. Douglas MacArthur. Number 1 is interesting: Article 1 (1) Working conditions shall be those which should meet the needs of workers who live lives worthy of human beings. http://www.japaneselawtranslation.go.jp/law/detail/?id=2236 And yes it has government sponsored minimum wages.

Explain how the entire state of Washington has had a steady unemployment rate of 5% for 4 years but the largest city, Seattle is a hot bed of unemployment? It is not statistically possible for the largest city to spike in unemployment and not have that show up in statistics for the entire state. THINK - don’t feel.

Is that the same MacArthur that wanted to invade China and overthrow the Communist government?

Yes, obviously a turf war between warring commie factions. Something like Stalin and Trotsky.

So you didnt look at the video. What a < deleted > loser. You know I have always liked you, and mostly agree with you, but I see you are just a liberal who resorts to name calling when someone disagrees with you. I won't lower myself to your juvenile level.
Instead you need to start learning the truth.

Okay, I watched your video, and it is so simplistic as to be irrelevant. Not really the great masterpiece you think it is at all. Now watch the video I provided and see why your minimum wage is nothing but a myth, and the results always play out the same every time the minimum is raised. There is a net zero gain. In other words, it did nothing, except perhaps hit the person living on a fixed income the hardest. So when that is the case there is actually a net loss.
Just like most of what comes out of liberal outlets, are distorted facts that tell what makes their case while ignoring other facts that contradict their case.
