Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney backstabbed President Donald Trump again this week and formed a political alliance with a top Democrat to go after the president.
The Daily Beast reports that Romney held a secret meeting with former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid -- and they discussed how to get rid of Trump.
While speaking with The Daily Beast, Reid lamented that he was "pretty damn worried" about Trump winning re-election in 2020.
Reid has also reportedly been reaching out to certain congressional Republicans in an attempt to persuade them to publicly rebuke Trump.
So it's not too surprising he went to Romney, one of the most notorious Never-Trumpers in Congress, to discuss how they can dump POTUS.
“I’ve never known a human being in a position of prominence that you can do nothing to damage his ego in any way,” he said. “It is absolutely unbelievable.”
Reid said they “both acknowledged that we had gone a little too far” in attacking each other during the 2012 presidential election.
Now that Reid needs help bringing down Trump, he sings Romney’s praises.
“I think he’s one of the best things come out of Utah in a long time,” he said. “I think that he’s a good person.”
“He’s one of the few people speaks out—not all the time—but against Trump,” Reid said.
Sadly, Romney has a long history of going after the president.

We don’t need any more pink wussy hat Presidents, we need more Trumps with convictions, not more of the best politicians money can buy.

Mitt's mission is to find 20 GOP Senators to remove Trump from office in a 24-hour long "rocket docket" trial.
As soon as the House approves a single Article, within hours, the plan is to convene the Senate, have Mitt give a "this is not who we are" speech, have Roberts call the vote, and have moving vans at the White House that very day.
Much closer than I realized at the time. It also makes it very difficult to imagine voting for the 2024 Republican. He will have a tough act to follow and I loathe the idea of a female president if we run a female.
With Harry you knew where you stood. You knew he would oppose you and fight you all the way from the start. With McRomney you get pats on the back, sure will get along great! I’m an extreme conservative, yap-yap-yap vote for me Utah/America and then out of the blue you get McCained, a machete right between the shoulder blades and then he gets his 15 minutes in the sun with the media whores. Then comes push back and he’s back to being your friend, it is a misunderstanding and I was reaching across the aisle to my Party, er, good friends and he supports his fellow Republicans until it’s convenient to McCain them again. McRomney is the epitome of GOPE scum who would toss his own family under the bus if it meant he could pocket and extra $20.
I would be happy to have a female president if they were like Margaret Thatcher or Sarah Palin or any one of a bunch of others.
I wrote Harry Reid’s only biography. All Mafia stuff. He was supposed to be indicted in Utah on two bribes, but friends of Mitt squelched the indictments
