“Fredo” is not used as a slur against Italians in particular. It is usually used to refer to someone who is the underachiever of his family, is a little slow, yet thinks he is smarter than he is. It refers to a character from the Godfather movies. If ever there was a Fredo, it is Chris Cuomo.
Oh, so it’s more of an insult to stupid people who think they are smart. Is this what’s known as irony? Or coincidence?
