One of the two people guarding Jeffrey Epstein when he apparently hanged himself in a federal jail cell was not a full-fledged correctional officer, and neither guard had checked on Mr. Epstein for several hours before he was discovered, prison and law-enforcement officials said.
Those details emerged on Monday as Attorney General William P. Barr sharply criticized the management of the federal jail in Manhattan where Mr. Epstein, who was accused of sexually abusing dozens of teenage girls, was found dead on Saturday morning.
We are now learning of serious irregularities at this facility that are deeply concerning and demand a thorough investigation, said Mr. Barr, who, as the countrys top law enforcement official, is responsible for federal prisons.
We will get to the bottom of what happened, he added. There will be accountability.

I mean, the next thing you know, someone will murder the president, and the prime suspect will be taken out WHILE IN CUSTODY, and ON NATIONAL TV. Nah....that could never happen...
The butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker?
I was considered a trainee when I took the job of C.O. at Auburn prison back in 1980. I had one week with an officer, and after that was on my own. The probationary period was one year. We were considered trainees for the first 12 weeks of employment. After that we were titled Correctional Officers. I got hired right off the list, and didn't go to the academy until almost a year later. I still was required to do the job, regardless of my probationary standing.
When I first took the job, all trainees were told that you had to have five years on the job to be considered a seasoned officer. When I got my five years in, the next line they fed you was that it was 10 years. The older hacks liked to bust your chops as often as they could.
Back then, you couldn't bid for a permanent job until you had a year in, and you couldn't get your name on a transfer list until you were permanent. Since you worked at the pleasure of, you had to check with the Chart Sergeant every day before going home, to find out what your job would be the next day. The first time I had to ask for an assignment from the Chart Sergeant, he told me where I'd be working the next day. I told him that I hadn't worked that post yet. His response was: "Well, you won't be able to say that tomorrow, will you?" Gone was any hope that he'd provide me with a run-down of what the job entailed. I had to hunt down another officer so they could fill me in.
And whether you worked 8 hours, or 16 hours straight, you were still expected to do the job.
Gibbs rule #39, there are no coincidences!
Epstein is allegedly dead from an alleged suicide!
Epstein was surprised that he committed suicide!
Gibbs Rule #40: If it seems someone is out to get you, they are.
WEll, it’s all history now.
For once I agree with you.
It’s even stranger when you realize Epstein was free as a bird 2 months ago.
You know, that's right. Sometimes its easy to forget how we got to here from before. I'm going to review the old news. It did escalate quickly.
I’m in conspiracy mode too. It would be almost impossible to spend 12 hours a day in legal there. You could technically be locked in with your lawyers for counts and meals, but 12 hours would still be pushing it. Being so high profile, his movement around the building is no easy or fast thing either. There’s only 2 elevators and they are both operated by a guard posted inside.
That place is tightly ran. It’s essentially Guantanamo in lower Manhattan. It’s hard to know exact figures because they aren’t publicly reported but very few have successfully committed suicide there.
I’m Jewish and Israeli so I hate to say this but this is all a major intelligence clean-up job and we’ll probably never know the truth.
The warden is black. This could just be a case of hating whitey guards ignoring him. Occam’s razor and all that.
So many stories, often conflicting.
The thing that seems clear is that Epstein procured for many powerful friends, and was unbelievably well connected socially.
That’s obvious. The intelligence part is mysterious. It might explain some of his wealth and power, but like you, I fear we’re going to see very little of the underlying truth, and even if we did, it would be hard to convince us it was the truth in these dissolute times.
The regular guards called in with yellow fever or maybe their dog had herpes.
Every Union has a contract to negotiate sooner or later.
Does it really?
“In Short-Staffed Jail, Epstein Was Left Alone for Hours; Guard Was Substitute”
yeah, and Epstein’s mandated roommate was removed the day before the most famous prisoner in Federal custody died alone in his jail cell ... but probably everything was just a big coincidence, right?
[Guard Was Substitute]
I remember it was a different guy who delivered lunch to Hume Cronyn in “The Parallax View”.
|You’re not the regular guy.” I don’t have the exact clip.

The most valuable prisoner in jail and they left him with a trainee??
I guess he didn’t get to “advanced prisoner watching” yet...
Yeah, no offense, it kinda does.
Because, Jews get it from all sides these days. Conspiracy theory, (Rothschilds own the world), Palestine, etc.
And they get beat up on the streets of Brooklyn and Paris.
Lynn Patton wrote Epstein was hilary’d. Vince foster part2.
The only positive thing is imo now Hilary can never run for President.
