DAYTON — A shooting with multiple fatalities and several people wounded has occurred near Ned Peppers Bar on East Fifth Street in the city of Dayton’s Oregon District. Here’s the latest:
UPDATE @ 11:30 a.m.: Connor Betts, 24, of Bellbrook has been identified as the suspected shooter in the Oregon District, government sources have confirmed to this news outlet.
Several law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation at a home Creekview Place, connected to the mass shooting. Officials only said the investigation is connected to the shooting and other details could not be released.
We’ll continue to update this story as we learn more.
UPDATE @ 10:30 a.m.: The number of injured in Sunday morning’s shooting in the Oregon District has increased to 27, according to Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley.

That is probably another related issue. These shooters tend to be confused, probably pre full blown psychotics who have this kind of violent imagery packed into their brains by constant exposure to violence...especially gun violence...look at the popular video games...movies...books...comics...tv...news reports. Monkey see...monkey do.

I think that is right. The elimination of God in the lives of these young people added to the video games, the hatred spewed on social media, all contribute to a whole different way of looking at life.
I remember when every day started with a prayer and your parents, teachers, pastors all taught that God not only saw everything you do, He also knew your thoughts. That taught us control.

It’s mostly young white males. Maybe constantly being told they are worthless shit and the cause of all that is wrong with the world is having an effect.
Less than 30 seconds to fire 30 rounds, 5 seconds to reload and continue until the weapon was taken from him as he tried to enter the bar.
