Baltimore's Perpetual Trash Problem
BALTIMORE SUN ^ | BALTIMORE SUN EDITORIAL BOARD

Why can’t we have a clean city? It’s a problem that has perplexed generations of mayors in Baltimore. Call it the perpetual trash nemesis.

Yet, here we are again in a mess of a city. Food containers, balled up clothes, paper, banana peels, plastic bags and tons of other pieces of litter line the shoulders of roads, pile up in alleys and are strewn across fields and yards. Not only is it unsightly and contributes to a rodent problem, but it can create a glum and gloomy feel in a time when the city is already facing self-esteem issues because of high crime

This is the hilarious image that CNN is using for their headline. I mean, who could say mean things about this paradise on the east coast?

Is it too much to ask of your city government that it pick up the trash? In Baltimore, apparently so.

I live in Memphis. Cars full of the local citizenry just dump their fast food trash at a stop light. They just dump their waste where they stand, in their own yard, in a parking lot, on the sidewalks, and so on. There are several of us in my neighborhood that spend our dog walking time filling huge bags with others garbage.

WE ALL KNOW WHY this is. ALL.

But, truth that shall not be spoken...shall not be spoken, about blacks. And about homosexuals, about muzzies, about women, about Democrats, about abortion, about socialism...

Truth is now the third rail.

The concept of placing trash inside containers for neat and orderly collection is a practice which escapes the urban civic priorities. It is not the fault of the municipalities.

Nancy’s Pelosi’s mafia Daddy started the downfall of Baltimore when he was mayor.

San Fran Nan: Learned to be a Bully By Corrupt Father, Mafia Don’s and Assorted Criminals

December 14, 2017 By Stephen Frank

San Fran Nan’s father was a Congressman, than Mayor of Baltimore—he was forced to drop out of a race for Governor when he was caught taking money from a career criminal. She hung around murderers, thieves and folks that used government officials to buy their fortune’s.

“Outside the ring, Pollack became a bootlegger and street enforcer who was arrested multiple times for payoffs, bribery, corruption and a murder. That charge never went to trial because the case file disappeared.

At the height of his power, Pollack raised the dead to vote, lined voter’s pockets with “walking around money” and held sway over Maryland’s legislature.

The New York Times noted that Pollack “would stand in the hallways of Annapolis literally controlling the General Assembly through his handpicked henchmen.” One of those was his own son, “Morty.” Jack would much later help the oldest son of “Big Tommy” become Baltimore’s mayor.

Other friends included members of the “Baltimore Crew.” It was a faction of New York’s Gambino crime family that operated independently until

Vincent “The Executioner” Mangano installed

Louis “Lugene” Morici as the reigning capo over Maryland and surrounding areas.

Mangano answered to Lucchese mobster Frankie Carbo, a former Murder, Inc killer.”

From a young age, Pelosi, now one of the richest members of Congress, hung around the worst of the worst, led by a corrupt father.

Now you understand how she can easily lie, smear others and abuse people for political power. Pass this around so others can understand the real Nancy Pelosi.

Why don’t they offer the bums $5 per bag of trash they collect and bring to the dump. The bums get money, the city gets cleaner. I know it’ll cost $50 bucks in per bag to administer, but it’s still something better than the endless sitting in boxes drinking ripple.

Having grown up in North Philly, I’m very familiar with “the residents”... :^)

And again... they’re all democrats - IF they even bother to vote.

New York City and San Francisco and LA are all filthy. People think nothing of dumping their trash anywhere.

With all due respect, NYC hasn't been that way since the Dinkins Admin. Giuliani really cleaned up things (though his tactics may not have been perfectly civil libertarian) and Bloomberg (who was NOT my favorite mayor when I worked there) carried on that "quality of life" focus to the point where Brooklyn is now gentrified and borderline unaffordable. Even Harlem is pretty nice up to 125th Street.

To be fair, I have not to been to Baltimore in decades and my visits to NYC suggest that it is creeping very slightly backwards. And yea, there are pockets of hell in NYC and DeBlasio is incompetent... but dirt and municipal stupidity are in abundance pretty much anywhere.

But NYC is far from the place depicted in Death Wish and The Out-Of-Towners.
