Vast stretches of Earths northern latitudes are on fire right now. Hot weather has engulfed a huge portion of the Arctic, from Alaska to Greenland to Siberia. Thats helped create conditions ripe for wildfires, including some truly massive ones burning in remote parts of the region that are being seen by satellites.
All told, northern fires released as much carbon dioxide in June as the entire country of Sweden does in a year, according to data crunched by the European Unions Copernicus program. The agency said the wildfire activity is unprecedented amidst what was, incidentally, the hottest June ever recorded for the planet with the Arctic particularly sweltering. All that carbon dioxide released by fires represents one of the scarier feedback loops of climate change as hot weather ensures more fires, which releases carbon dioxide and makes climate change worse. The boreal forest that rings the northern portion of the world is witnessing a period of wildfire activity unseen in at least 10,000 years, and this summer is another worrying datapoint.

I was watching a Braves game not long ago when Freddie Freeman smacked a homer that went into the upper deck exit.

Kinda shocked that he knew the proper Latin word for that structure.
"Welcome my friends to the show that never ends"
The planet will be here forever... it's us that will be going away.
When the CO-2 reaches Chinese proportions then it might be a concern. Then again all that smoke and dust will have a cooling effect this Winter.
All told, northern fires released as much carbon dioxide in June as the entire country of Sweden does in a year...
And thanks to global warming, polar bears above the Arctic Circle sweat more than the entire population of Monowi, Nebraska.
Thanks fieldmarshaldj.
No picts no clicks
They do that often
Thats a primary climate change trick to move temperature data location points
Guess it won’t be long before we have pictures of all those poor polar bears floating away on chunks of ice with their fur blazing...
Since we all are going to die soon I guess my giving a sh** about anything is at new lows. Party ON!
