By Friday morning, the photo of Harris as a young girl was emblazoned on a T-shirt, selling on her website for $30.
Some, though, viewed the monetization of the debate moment as crass.
“This just made me mad uncomfortable. Like I legit just second guessed wanting to vote for her after seeing this lol,” one Instagrammer wrote.
“It makes your sentiment seem orchestrated,” another said. "non-authentic," someone else posted.
”Kamala—commercializing what I (and probably many others) believed to be a beautifully emotional/off the cuff comment to Joe Biden so soon afterward makes your thoughtful words seem hollow and calculated. Please don’t give anyone reason to believe you’re disingenuous!! Please do better than this,” said another.
Still, some disagreed. One follower called the shirt “powerful." Another wrote, "GOT MINE. keep making us proud."

I don’t think it was even “by Friday morning,” I think it was within an hour of the remark. ALMOST as if her team knew in advance that she was going to say it, had tagged at a remark likely to “resonate” and was ready to spring into action the moment she launched it.
With any luck it will have a pic of Buckwheat and the “A-Otay” quote on it.

Ms. Harris was primed and prepared to pounce when the opportunity presented itself, when someone opened the door. Biden was the one who cracked the door and she charged in. Well done lady - like a professional politician. Little of what she said or suggested was true, however - like a professional politician.
They thought of it well in advance.

Script writers, image consultants, graphic designers etc... had worked on this for a long time.
It’s meant to harken back to images of the actual civil rights movement and integration of the 50’s and 60’s.
It’s advertising slogans and imagery, pure advertising, pure propaganda.
Obama’s team has scripted and mapped this out.

These are the same people who contrived the failed Jussie Smollet hoax to happen just after Harris sponsored a new anti-lynching bill in the Senate.
It was not a random act of chance that Biden’s old comments on busing were made a big issue immediately prior to this debate.
They knew they would bring up the topic, use the scripted catch-phrase “that little girl was me”’(which she said twice) and have their graphic artist designed image ready to go for memes and T-shirts etc...
This is the Obama machine that has a lot of money.
