Former President Jimmy Carter said Friday he believes Donald Trump would have lost the 2016 election without Russian help.
“There’s no doubt that the Russians did interfere in the election and I think the interference, although not yet quantified, if fully investigated, would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016,” said Carter. “He lost the election and he was put in office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.”
Carter was speaking in Leesburg, Va. at a panel discussion on human rights hosted by the Carter Center.
Carter was then asked by moderator Jon Meacham, a historian, if Trump was an illegitimate president.
“Based on what I said, which I can’t retract,” responded Carter, smiling.

Just about everyone realizes Carter hasn’t been connected to reality since the mid 1970s.
The Russian thing has been debunked ever which way.
The public isn’t buying off on the premise. The networks that have hyped it are losing viewers by the millions.
Now Jimmy thinks he can breathe new life into it.

As bad as Carter was he taught me a valuable lesson that in the end could help get Trump reelected. I was working in a factory and people were discussing Presidents they had lived under. One of the most discussed was Jimmy Carter and the sentiment was that before Carter they were unemployed and after Carter got elected they had a job. That was all that mattered. No matter how bad he was in everything else they got a job while he was President and they never forgot it.
Think of how many people who were unemployed now have jobs thanks to DJT. They will remember who got them that job come election time. To people who had nothing a job matters like nothing else.
