Former Vice President Joe Biden likened the cultural effects of President Trump's election to the assassinations of former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., in a Saturday interview with Al Sharpton.
During a discussion in South Carolina that touched on criminal justice reform, Biden argued that Trump's rise to power had awakened an entire generation to the necessity of getting involved in politics, much like the violent murders of political figures did for baby boomers in the 1960s.
"I think whats happening now is, I think that Donald Trump may have reawakened sensibilities in this country to say Whoa, maybe we can do this now, just like our generation was awakened when Dr. King and Bobby Kennedy were assassinated,' Biden claimed. "Our whole generation said Im back in, man.
"These millennials they get it, Rev. And now they want to get engaged."
The comment is the latest in a string of eyebrow-raising comments from the former vice president, who recently praised his work with segregationist Democrats in the Senate as an example of the institution's bygone civility.

LOL LOL LOL!!!
Then explain why Trump has received more the Black vote than McCain or Romney.
Biden getting desperate.
Trump needs to spend some time in Black Churches before 2020
I disagree. I think it is illegal to visit a black community church while running for office.
... then the disastrous ‘68 Democrat convention happened and Nixon was elected president. He should be more aware of events he was alive to witness.
Joe! Obey me!
HRC
The things that Bobby Kennedy allegedly said about blacks and gays would probably not make him terribly welcome in today’s Democrat party.
If the Rats regain control of the entire Federal Government the phrase “you reap what you sow” will take on a whole new meaning.
ha!
Bozo speaks yet again.....ha!
agreed
Gropey Joe working hard to out stupid the clown bus.
Works both ways, Mr. Biden. Millennials may be more engaged but so are folks who felt there was no difference between the parties prior to 2016 and gave up on elections. We can be sure a lot of them will find their way to the polling stations come 2020.
And he’s right but, wrong.
Millennials are looking at the policy suggestions of your idiot colleagues and they want nothing to do with it
Poor thing is insane. Call the men in white coats.
They are I N S A N E !!!
They’re all chronically insane....the whole lot of em.
Keep em out of govt and put em back in the nut houses.
The idiot liar gets everything 180 degrees backward. Hey Joe, the law states you cannot have sexual encounters with people below the statutory laws. Not above. Lol.
