In a letter to Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, the State Department revealed that it has identified multiple security incidents involving current or former employees handling of Hillary Clintons emails, and that 23 violations and seven infractions have been issued as part of the departments ongoing investigation.
To this point, the Department has assessed culpability to 15 individuals, some of whom were culpable in multiple security incidents, Mary Elizabeth Taylor, the State Departments Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs, wrote to Grassley. DS has issued 23 violations and 7 infractions incidents. This number will likely change as the review progresses.
In every instance in which the Department found an individual to be culpable of a valid security violation or three or more infractions, the Department forwarded the outcome to the Bureau of Diplomatic Securitys Office of Personnel Security and Suitability (DS/PSS), to be placed in the individuals official security file, Taylor wrote. All valid security incidents are reviewed by DS and taken into account every time an individuals eligibility for access to classified information is considered.
This referral occurred whether or not the individual was currently employed with the Department of State and such security files are kept indefinitely, Taylor added. Another “This is Big” story?
There must have been hundreds, thousands, of “this is big” stories concerning Hillary and her e-mail scandal and Benghazi, and... what has happened after any of those reports?
Cankles von Cabbagepants was an intel gold mine for all manner of foreign actors.
Crickets and frogs.
Until someone is punished for willful/negligent violations the underlying story is that we have a two tiered justice system that protects the political and governmental elites. Everyone else is subject to swift penalties.
Wait, so putting TS//SCI and TS//SAP/SAR imagery in personal emails is actually a violation? No way!
Well, maybe it’s a violation, but no reasonable prosecutor would bring a case.
Who wants to live to see another day, that is.
“Really big”???
Yeh, we’ll see.
Laws are Not for rich people.
At the rally last night, Trump implied the missing emails may not actually be missing.
Going to have to find an unreasonable prosecutor......
So, it’s not true that “nobody is above the law”?
*************
Let’s just say our laws are selectively enforced.
Wow! Terrible swift justice. I feel so much more comfortable with the State Department protecting our national secrets. They're so much better at it than those Defense Department wimps. They deserve special treatment they give themselves.
My first thought when reading the headline....so?!?!
Well-said and AMEN!!
I'm kinda with ya. There has been oodles of evidence against Clinton and cabal on multiple fronts from server-gate to foundation-gate, state-gate, uranium-gate, coup-gate, russia-gate...where are the charges?
There is such a thing as statute of limitations. Hillary WILL play long ball to run out the clock, thereby escaping prosecution by default.
