I’ll have to check that out. I’m a yankee (ex-yankee really) and was always a classic rock guy but I do like bluegrass. Discovered it a few years back.
Check out the Peasall sisters on youtube. Their version of “Where no one stands alone” is the best. There was a small sample of it at the beginning of True Grit.
There’s a live version of their original song Gray County Line and the youngest one just oozes talent hitting multiple octaves. She plays the fiddle and a member or the Carter family taught her. They do a few Carter Sisters songs too. They broke up. Decided they didn’t want that life. Probably not a bad decision.

I was wondering what happened to rock. There was new rock being made as recently as 10-15 years ago and then it disappeared. I didn’t like all of it but some was good.

Her career, for all intents and purposes, will be over in a year. Like all radical leftists in the entertainment “business” she forgot that not everyone is continually indoctrinated in her beliefs.

Her career doesn't end. It just becomes mediocre. 1989 was one of the greatest pop albums of all time. The stuff she's releasing now is as sweet, manufactured (and forgettable) as a can of Pepsi.
At least Madonna somewhat separates her political speech from her entertainment.

Pretty much listen to foreign music now. I know too much about American and British celebrities.
New Rock is there, it’s just not on the radio. But really at this point all the good rock music has already been made and everything now is a derivative.

Why was practically all of the classical music that’s played today was written a long time ago?
The obvious answer is that people don’t like the new compositions. That being the case, why don’t today’s composers play closer attention to the old stuff?
