Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed a bill into law Wednesday establishing a woman's "fundament right" to abortion, keeping a campaign promise to make the state the most progressive in the country when it comes to abortion rights.
"Today we proudly proclaim that in this state, we trust women," Pritzker said at the Reproductive Health Act signing event at the Chicago Cultural Center. "And in Illinois, we guarantee as a fundamental right a woman's right to choose."
Pro-life groups have pointed out Illinois' law goes further than the one in New York, which prompted a series of states to pass anti-abortion bills, several "heartbeat" abortion bans, and ignited a battle across the nation should Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that made abortion legal in all 50 states, be overturned by the Supreme Court with two Trump appointees now on the bench.

Next, they’ll prohibit adoption. In the name of “a woman’s right to choose,” of course.

One of the charms of living in the U.S. (and I imagine a source of great confusion for foreigners) is how much laws can differ from one state to another. Here in MO a law was just passed greatly restricting abortions and we are just one Federal Judge away from having the state’s last abortuary “go dark”.
Right across the river in Illinois, abortion is being extended to the moment of birth and of course the pro-abortion crowd is celebrating.
Twenty years ago or so, Missouri law required that firearms in cars/trucks be plainly visiblehence the need for gunlocks in pickup trucks. But Illinois law required that guns had to be in cases. Driving across the Mississippi with a rifle meant you’d be sure to violate one state’s law or the other.

Saying that Pritzker is a fat head is an understatement. He’s a complete POS. He’s a trust fund baby that has never had to truly manage money in any real context, who has dodged property taxes in the most vile of manners, and who truly does not care about anyone in the state; even those who elected him.
It’s all about power. As long as Democrats have a hyper majority (it really is at this point) and as long as the Madigans maintain their positions, everyone will keep up the corruption. They do whatever they have to in order to maintain power and keep making money.
They also just voted themselves a raise.

law goes further than the one in New York, How? I may not want to know. Did this ones get the standing ovation from the evil ghouls in the gallery too?According to what I heard on Fox News this evening, it abolishes previous restrictions on partial birth abortion and makes clear in the law that the fetus has no rights.
