Well, well, well, what a pretty picture we have with Democrats these days, with radical Democrats now looking at primary fights with utterly crazy socialist ones.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may be planning to primary her fellow New York Democrats for a Senate seat, getting ready to target Sen. Chuck Schumer or Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.
That's what Mike Allen at Axios is reporting, citing what's apparently an upcoming Axios on HBO segment, citing "top Democrats," who "buzz." He writes:
Top Democrats tell "Axios on HBO" they expect Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may eventually primary one of the two New York senators — Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in 2022, or Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in 2024.
Why it matters: AOC has instantly become one of the party's most coveted endorsers (up there with Clintons and Obamas) — and has recently made common cause with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a pairing that could take off.
A note of caution, though is in order first: Allen's piece quotes only a spokesweasel, and that person seems to be playing down the idea. Maybe the whole thing is a weather balloon or a bite-back bid from Ocasio-Cortez against Democrats who've whispered 'primary' at her for her seat. But who knows what the HBO segment will yield? Allen's a smart swamp thing, and presumably knows what he's talking about.

AOC is so dead when she has to run in the next election.
The democrat party members will use her as an example of what happens to those who get to big for the britches.
YES! And she's getting a good "start" too....
She already is "dragging baggage" with her....
I think both established Democrats and Republicans in Congress has played the game “You won this time and we will win the next time so don’t do anything to jeopardize our hold on power”.
The R’s and D’s in Congress just swap power every 4 or 8 years and spend the rest of that time convincing Americans they are working for them but are only working to stay in power.
If they can. They have been years gathering up the kind of nuts that would vote for her. The dims may start reaping what they have been sowing.
Isn’t this what the Justice Democrats PAC and Cenk Uygur wanted in the first place? Get a bunch of hard left into rep seats through primaries and then bump them up into real power? Out of the batch, A0C got traction. Makes sense to use her to replace Schummer who is a total failure in the eyes of new left.
AOC better watch her back because if she keeps stepping out of her lane she could be the first of two-day DNC purge like the Pubies just experienced. Chuckie’s handlers just have to be patient with her or she’s a goth gal hours after reading room temp.
Republicans simply don't know how to be majority party and have cojones.
I did it to vote against Hillary’s first run. I forget who I voted for, but it felt icky.
IMHO, the Dems have exposed themselves so much with the Deep State that everybody is starting to see their sham.
It wouldn’t surprise me if in 2-4 years, the entire Democrat Party isn’t obliterated by a third party.
She clearly understands that NY State will lose at least one seat in the House in the reapportionment after the 2020 Census. At the present time, you can just bet a dollar to a donut that the ‘Rat powers that be planned to chop up her district and get her out of the House that way.
By threatening to primary one of the incumbent senators, she might just get them to protect her district while sacrificing some other congresscritter.
Given the performance of Congress as a whole, both R & D, it may be a third party might wipe both of them out.
