A CNN panel had a pretty pessimistic view of the U.S.-Mexico deal President Trump announced Friday in hopes of ending the migration crisis.
Late Friday, Trump tweeted that threatened U.S. tariffs against Mexico were being "indefinitely suspended" because Mexico had agreed to help slow the flow of migrants heading toward the U.S. border.
But some folks on the liberal news network were not impressed.
Former Republican U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent called the negotiations "bluster" and insisted that Trump never would have gone through with his tariff threat because it would have hurt border states like Texas, where he noted that Democrat Joe Biden was leading Trump in a new poll on the 2020 presidential race.
CNN global affairs analyst Susan Glasser also panned the Trump deal.
"We're all sort of props in this fake game of, you know, 'Let's Stick Up The Neighbors'," she said. ..."
Glasser went on to say Trump "failed completely" to control the border and slammed the "lack of normal policy process" leading up to the deal, calling the whole thing "theater." ..."
"He created this drama on Monday or Tuesday," D'Antonio said, "and I swear they must have locked up the Mexican delegation in the State Department to keep them there for nine or ten hours and then fed them well and they all had a laugh and they let them out and they said, 'Well, the problem is solved.'
"Well, there was no problem the beginning of the week to solve that was extraordinary," he added, "and now we just have this solution that nobody understands and that won't produce what the president actually promised, which was a big, beautiful wall that Mexico would pay for." ..."
"The jobs report was clearly not what anybody wanted."

Mexico Claims Some Migrant Caravan Funding Came from US, England (DNC vote buying scheme?)

Mexican tax officials froze assets of 26 individuals and entities allegedly promoting Central American migrant caravans that moved thousands through Mexico to the US border. The funding allegedly came from the US, England, Africa, and Central America.
Mexicos Finance and Tax Secretariat (SHCP) announced the freezing of the accounts claiming the move resulted from an investigation by their Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF).
The operation tracked financial movements from October 2018 through current dates to determine the sources of funding for the migrant caravans. According to the statement, the UIF identified a group of individuals that made several questionable international financial transactions from the cities of Chiapas and Queretaro during the times that the migrant caravans were moving through those places.
Mexican authorities followed the path of the caravans and the financial operations from Queretaro to the border cities of Tijuana, Nogales, Ciudad Juarez, Ciudad Acuna, Piedras Negras, and Reynosa; Mexican authorities were able to trace the source of the funds to the US, England, Cameroon, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
Based on the result of the investigation, the UIF moved to freeze accounts in Mexico of 26 individuals and entities that are believed to have helped fund the migrant caravans or contributed to human smuggling organizations, the SHCP statement revealed. While authorities did not name the individuals or the entities whose assets they froze, they revealed that they would be filing complaints with Mexicos AGs Office for prosecution.
The action comes at a time when Mexican officials are meeting with US counterparts to keep the Trump administration from levying tariffs on international commerce as a punitive measure over the countrys lax approach to migration. The threat of tariffs has led to a series of posturing and threats from both sides, Breitbart News reported.

At some point there are fewer and fewer people looking for a job. At this low unemployment rate, I would imagine the country is close to full capacity employment. Little wonder the hiring is down!
Weak job numbers? What?
How is a million more jobs than employees to fill them weak?
Uhhhhh, okay. If President Trump’s job numbers suck so bad, why are so many people breaking and entering into our country? How do they expect to provide for themselves when they get here?
And other Fake News factories.
The numbers balance out. The previous month was way over estimates.
If he found a cure for cancer they’d be complaining about all the medical jobs lost.
They are such weasels. Last week they were harping on the downward blip in the markets. Trump had wrecked everything with his tariffs. Then the markets bounced back so they dropped that angle and switched to the jobs report. Just watch — the jobs number will correct and they’ll jump to some other piece of bad news.
What’s weak is the way the Enemedia immediately disseminated the PROPAGANDA of the Hussein economy only to have to redact/correct it 2 weeks later! This was EVERY economic report for 8 YEARS!
The Trump administration announced a plan Thursday to tighten work requirements for work-eligible Americans on food stamps a move the Department of Agriculture says will nudge those on welfare toward self-sufficiency.
The USDA announced that the rule, which will apply to able-bodied adults without dependents, will restrict the ability of states to exempt recipients from having to hold a job to receive the benefits.
Currently, able-bodied recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) must work 20 hours a week or enroll in job training to maintain benefits, after their first three months in the program.
But states can waive the requirement if their unemployment rates are above 10 percent or they show a demonstrable lack of jobs.
States can also grant extensions of benefits for 15 percent of work-eligible adults without a waiver, and if they dont use that waiver, they can bank the exemptions for later.
The new rule only allows waivers for specific cities or counties that have an unemployment rate of 7 percent or higher, and that waiver will be only eligible for one year.
States can no longer bank exemptions and cannot grant waivers for geographic areas larger than a specific jurisdiction.
Long-term reliance on government assistance has never been part of the American dream, Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said in a statement.
As we make benefits available to those who truly need them, we must also encourage participants to take proactive steps toward self-sufficiency.
Moving people to work is common-sense policy, particularly at a time when the unemployment rate is at a generational low. ...
CNN is bought and paid for. I disagree with Rush to a degree when he saws they are that dumb...they know what they are doing which is why they are bought and paid for.
Only the glassy eyes commie haters who watch CNN and MSNBC believe their lies and taqiyya.
I must ask why we continue to treat CNN like it is a legitimate news organization.
>>>At some point there are fewer and fewer people looking for a job. At this low unemployment rate, I would imagine the country is close to full capacity employment.
I doubt it. Just a few years ago, cndidate Trump was stating unemployment was likely around 20% and as high as 42%. That sounds like a lot of slack.
“An unemployment rate in the range of 5 percent as “such a phony number...The number isn’t reflective,” he said. “I’ve seen numbers of 24 percent — I actually saw a number of 42 percent unemployment. Forty-two percent.” He continued, “5.3 percent unemployment — that is the biggest joke there is in this country. The unemployment rate is probably 20 percent, but I will tell you, you have some great economists that will tell you it’s a 30, 32. And the highest I’ve heard so far is 42 percent.”
I think we have some of them CNN fake news folks right here on FR.....we have our own Deep State and most of them donate nothing to pay the bills.....
I wouldnt mind seeing sky high unemployment numbers in newsrooms all over America. From CNN and the NY Slimes down to the local fish wraps the MSM has done enough damage to this country! They deserve all the bad karma heading their way!
Some contribute their butts off in other ways and never receive so much as a simple thank you.
