BS - while you could possibly excuse away food or medicine theft you CANNOT claim that violent crimes are the fault of a bad economy and then turn around and have the audacity to claim you’re not blaming socio-ECONOMIC to excuse crimes.

She needs to be fired immediately as she’s a real threat to the force.

“It’s a fair cop, but society is to blame. We’ll be arresting them, too”.

>>> Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall said that offenders are “forced” to commit crimes due to a lack of job opportunities. <<<

Maybe they should become cops and then they can get paid to commit robbery, assault, kidnapping, lying under oath, and maybe even the occasional murder.

America’s indigenous urban peoples believe that violent crime is a legitimate career path, and armed victims are an OSHA violation.

Anytime you have a female police chief, criminals get a free pass on responsibility...

If they don’t have opportunities, whose fault is that? Who is it who had been pushing for minimum wage increases, occupational licensing, street vending permits, mandatory union membership, etc.?

i do believe it would be beneficial all around for the state to find a couple decent jobs a released felon can start out with, plus assist in getting set up in a place to live

i dont think this is ‘too much help’ and it will assure that any ex-con who wants to live a proper, law-abiding life... can do so

the state keeps many other people who COULD work...on permanent welfare for life, with all kinds of support services. helping an ex-con who wants to go straight get started... is far less expense ...and temporary too.

just my thought. temporary, transitional assistance to get the ex-con on an honest path. after that, its up to him of course, I am not proposing putting him on welfare for life

“There are individuals in this city who have returned from prison who cannot find a job, who are not educated.” “In those instances, those individuals are forced to commit violent acts,” the chief declared.

As if social services, charities, and even panhandling didn't exist as options. Furthermore, he isn't even talking about taking money under the table or misrepresenting one's background to get employment. He's excusing violence. Let's be clear. No one is FORCED to commit a VIOLENT crime, chief.

“There are socioeconomic issues that are related to crime in individuals in this city. . . [t]here are individuals in this city who have returned from prison who cannot find a job, who are not educated.”

Maybe he just doesn't want to deal with arresting anybody. If society is to blame, nobody gets arrested.

And whose fault is that? Public school is basically free. Many technical schools are free. Community colleges are relatively inexpensive. Even prisons have free courses and training programs for inmates.

Johnny can't read? Blame that on the liberalization of elementary schools.

Some things NEVER change.

Throughout history a ‘nagging question’ has been

‘Where do we find these men’

when it came to Washington at Valley Forge, F S Key in Baltimore Harbor, Alamo, Teddy Roosevelt ‘Rough Riders’, the USS Maine, Argonne Forest, evacuation of Dunkirk, Pearl Harbor, D Day, Inchon, Dienbienphu, Hal Moore and his small force, and many others, far too numerous to mention here.

Now we get IDIOTS like this ‘so called’ Police Chief, clowns like Pelosi, AOC, the MN Muzzies and far too many to list here just spouting off at the mouth and whatever garbage comes out comes out.

We are surely on a fast track to extinction, just how long did it take the Roman Empire to implode?

With our great military being infested with women in combat roles, crossdressers welcomed, queers celebrated, soldiers being persecuted for being soldiers etc etc is certainly paving the road to hell.

I am certainly NOT damning ALL women in these roles just take a look at LEO since their doors were opened to all and the lax regulations not only kept some from joining but the laxness allowed people(MEN & WOMEN) that years ago would never have been considered.
Sorrowfully our Proud Military is also being invaded and Lord only knows how long before DECENT volunteers just pass it by..

Pitiful

Yes, they are known as “career criminals” and are why we have Three Strikes laws.

“The Dallas County district attorney has announced his office will no longer prosecute a slew of misdemeanor offenses in an effort to end alleged “mass incarceration” practices within the county.”

Just go ahead and commit crimes. All is forgiven.
