Japan can send it to Davy Jones locker with extreme prejudice and will counter any move by the rice heads.

It would probably shock you how unprepared they are. As best I can tell, the military is not a dream job for Chinese families.

Yes, but it’s still tiny. Look at it. Easily see the crew perched all along and can count them.

I could’ve sworn our destroyer or cruiser class was being permanently retired/phased out. I think cruiser, but not sure.

Uh-oh!

Trump better cancel those tariffs, real soon, or we’re in trouble!

/s

Here’s an idea. With the money we get with tariffs on Red China, why not buy some Chinese Type 055 counter-measures... Ships, planes, drones, missiles, etc; research and find what works?

Well, we are STILL HIGHLY disciplined in action.

But no, I'm not crazy about females in combat along with males, esp. because they can get pregnant which is a disruption (moral or immoral). Never mind the hassles with homos who have to be not only accommodated but celebrated!

It has to find a way to get out of Chinese coastal waters with no fewer than four nations’ land-based air waiting for it, not to mention US carrier-based air.

The Chinese have a major base problem, which is why they have never been a successful maritime nation.

I wonder how his ship would fare after a direct hit from a tactical nuke tipped cruise missile fired from 2000 miles away?

Besides, as of 2015 our Navy has 62 Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers. There are an additional 90 warships of varying types either in the planning or building stage.

There is no country even close to having the naval power of America.

She is cruiser weight. She is good for “gunboat diplomacy”. And necessary in that context. I don’t see big Fleet conflict as viable any longer.

Our DDGs have a much lower RCS and acoustic signature than any CG.

I have a cousins and 2 nephews in the military. If you think gays are being accepted by the enlisted men you would be wrong. The gays hang out with each other and almost never fraternize with heteros.

According to these kids gays are told in no uncertain terms to keep their hands to themselves, iow, no friendly pats or back slaps commonly indulged in by the troops. They are told to not go in the shower when straights are in there. If the do the straight guys leave and one more warning is given before a quiet action is taken to “persuade” the troop to heed the rules.

Gays may be allowed to join but according to these kids they are not accepted and keep almost entirely to their own kind.

I was wondering just how well made is it? What’s the quality of the steel? How good are the electronics?
