A man with citizenship in Lebanon and the United States was arrested this morning after arriving at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on charges of transporting visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

According to court documents, George Aref Nader, 60, was charged by criminal complaint after he arrived at Washington-Dulles International Airport on Jan. 17, 2018 from Dubai in possession of a cell phone containing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The charges were unsealed after his arrest this morning.

Nader previously pleaded guilty in the Eastern District of Virginia to the same charge in 1991.

If convicted, Nader faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 40 years.

Nader was a witness in the Special Counsel's probe into Russian intereference in the 2016 election, and has ties to members of the Trump transition team.

1. Mueller’s team did a complete dragnet of all Trump transition people and anyone associated with them.

2. (If this allegation is true) They found (at least) one with child porn.

3. They waited until he made a trip overseas and then nabbed him at the airport. This way they could search him without a warrant. The alternative would have been to get a warrant on the basis of their NSA searches, but then they’d have to explain to the court why they were surveilling him and the answer (we surveil all of our political opponents) would have been less than satisfying.

4. Instead of charging him with a crime that they (allegedly) had evidence for, or attempting to protect society from an (alleged) pedophile they got him to testify against Trump because obviously that’s more important.

5. Then they leaked to CNN that he was arrested and cooperating, not mentioning the most salcious part of the story. Why not? Because the story looked much worse for Trump if he was arrested for some sort of mysterious collusion than for child porn.

I didn’t read the background on Nader but just saw title and excerpt attributing something to framing Don Jr. and Nader connected to the Trump transition team.
