Schiff: Mueller Has ‘Duty’ to Testify Before Congress, Subpoena Possible

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” House Intelligence chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said special counsel Robert Mueller had a “duty” to testify before Congress about his investigation into the 2016 election.

Schiff said, “I was disappointed to see such a profound reluctance to testify. I understand that. I think he has one last service to perform. It’s not enough merely to speak for 10 minutes and say, ‘I’m not going to answer questions for Congress and the American people.’ There are a great many things that are not in the report.”

He continued, “We want to find out what happened to those counterintelligence findings that were sent back to headquarters. And in terms of if the president is vulnerable of influence from Russia. Why the president can’t criticize Putin or take adequate steps to protect our elections. The American people have every need to have answered here. I hope Bob Mueller will answer, as painful as it may be, he has a final duty here to perform. Like any other witness and it’s my hope he’ll do so and it’s my hope that he’ll do so voluntary.”

Stephanopoulos asked, “If he doesn’t, subpoena?”

Schiff said, “That would be my recommendation. That’s decision we’ll have to make collectively and our leadership when there’s use of compulsion, because it may lead to litigation. That’s not how this process for Bob Mueller should end. He’s a dedicated public servant.”

Ole Shiffy needs to be careful for what he wishes for, though knowing Mueller is in the tank for Obama, Clinton and every other left wing radical, he could just refuse to answer, or say that he can’t recall.

Its all for show. Schiff for brains knows the last he wants is to have the entire witch hunt deconstructed before his committee. Bug eyes knows Mueller would be in a position of telling the truth or ensnarling himself in a perjury trap. The only way Mueller will testify is if he is dragged, screaming and kicking, before a Durham grand jury.

Schiff could have a rally big surprise if he gets indicted for leaking confidential information. Would he be excluded from sitting on the committee, if that happens? Because I think he could lose his security clearance, and that is required for that committee IIRC.

I think this is smokescreen the Rats don’t want Mueller testifying it was part of the deal he made to put on that little show last week. If he does it not be public or the Rats will rig it so the republicans will be handcuffed.

Schiff heard Mueller speak the same words I did. Mueller said his testimony will be no more than what was in the report. It seems that it would be a waste of time to subpoena him. If they get him to testify by subpoena, the democrats will hack at how he got his evidence, the choices he made, and the like. That is why they want him to testify. Schiff is a jackass!
