New York community leaders reportedly stormed out of a closed meeting with US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday after some felt 'revolted' when she criticized Donald Trump and the US. AOC held the close gathering in the Bronx borough with Community Board 11 members but proved too controversial for two military veterans at least. One of the issues that sparked a sickening feeling in some was when a Middle Eastern member of the Community Board 11 asked for her thoughts on the conflict in Yemen. Ocasio-Cortez is said to have slammed the US role of providing weapons to the Saudi Arabian government in the civil war. But it reportedly upset those who wanted her to also blame other countries involved.

What a face, what a figure, Two more legs and she'll look like Trigger... :)
I am not saying there are not smart kids there. But I think you might agree that the non-engineers probably did not match up with MIT or Harvard. I know the biz majors were not impressive when I would meet up with them over the years.
Of course, maybe our companies only hired stupid ones...including me. Ha ha.
“Democrat aparatchick heard her holding forth in the bar. She was taken on and trained and perhaps paid and put forward as a candidate.”
You’re right. IIRC, it was a coordinated effort, sponsored and carried out by groups such as The Young Turks and others. Apparently they openly recruited people to infiltrate the party, and she was one of them. It wasn’t only AOC, but others as well. They were trained.
I wish I had paid more attention to this issue; there might be more available online.
BU is for people who can't get accepted anywhere else except UCONN, but don't want to go to UCONN.
Let’s be real. Her district votes 80% Democratic. All that happened here is she finally ended up in a room with some Trump supporting vets and it went about as well as you would expect.
Finally, someone who will know I didn’t choose to name myself after a comedian!
I thought the same about Obama.
She is useless without her handlers. I have read what she has said in congress and it is obvious when she goes off script. She make less sense than Pelosi. At least Pelosis excuse is her dementia brought on by Botox abuse and overdose. Ocasio-Cortez was overeducated and was not capable of absorbing what she supposedly learned.
Supposedly she has an economics degree and never learned about free markets and why profits are a better incentive than government redistribution of wealth. People work hard so that they can have a better life. When the government takes away what they have worked for and gives it to those that are unwilling to work then the workers stop working. Fast forward and you end up with Venezuela. All those natural resources and people are starving.
Social Justice Econ 101-105 is pure redistributionist gobbly-gook.
BINGO!!! That is exactly why Kristen Gillebrand got elected....she’s not the usual UGLY Democrat!!
She and the 3 other new Congressits help our side every time they spew their hate America BS.

She’s been fighting for a different compensation system for restaurant employees to replace the current (for the most part) tipping system. This is of course after she made plenty on tips in her previous position.
Her fellow bartenders and servers want none of it. They say we like it this way, don’t save us.
Right now, no employees lose. If your tips don’t amount to what you would have made at only the minimum wage, your employer has to bring you up to minimum-wage level. Under the system she advocates, there are no tips, and everyone makes the minimum wage.
How does that sound, high-end-restaurant employees?
The owner of the place where she worked also owned a high-end place, and when he put the no-tip system she recommends into place, his high-tip employees all left.
Not to even mention that the fact that the tipping system builds community. You act nice, the diner loves you, the diner pays you for your service. It’s one of those things that can’t be faked, so it keeps the good feelings going in the eating establishments.
It works to form people, as a good corporation does. I worked for corporations for 50 years, and I have very low tolerance for people who never did, people who have very little incentive to do what they say they’re going to do and to do it when they say they’re going to do it or faster. You act at your own inclination and when you feel like acting in a corporation and you are out on your face the next week.
My work with volunteers when I first got active in politics was an excruciating eye-opener. I was once stuck with 50 or so folding chairs that someone had promised to get over to the rummage sale site and then never showed up. She was a teacher in the NYC public school system.
Start all new schools, and send the social engineers to learn how cultures and societies really work and succeed.
