Makkah: The GCC Summit in Makkah has condemned the recent sabotage operations, which targeted four tankers in UAE’s regional waters and drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities.

The GCC leaders discussed the exceptional circumstances and dangerous challenges the region is undergoing following the recent attacks on the UAE and Saudi Arabia and their ramifications and direct threat to the regional security and peace, to freedom of global marine navigation and trade as well as to world oil markets as a result of attempts by some countries to undermine security and stability of the region, support terrorism and interfere in other countries’ internal affairs.

• denounced Iranian intervention in the Syrian crisis and its impact on Syria’s unity;

• condemned the launching of Iranian-made ballistic missiles from Yemen toward Saudi Arabia;

• condemned Iran’s interference in the affairs of Bahrain, and its support of terrorist groups there; and

• condemned Iran’s occupation of three islands belonging to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Saudi Arabia did launch airstrikes against Yemen against the Al Houlti terrorist for the drone strikes, rocket attacks on Saudi Arabia, as well as Missile attacks.

How was the attack done on the four tankers? [Hopefully] US Intel community knows, but I don't know if the GCC knows if this was an Al Houlthi attack from terrorists in Yemen or neighboring Oman or from UAE itself.

Or was it by Iran via some its one dozen mini-subs?

I have heard nothing definite on this. There was an Israeli report that there were no explosions and were the result of ramming the tankers by subs (it was explosions and Israeli report was totally false).

I assume it was by Mini-Subs from Iran. What should the GCC response be? Launch air strikes by Saudi Arabia and UAE against Iran such as against Iranian patrol boats in the Persian Gulf? Air attacks on Iranian targets such as oil refineries [China relies on Iran for oil as does some of the members of the EU (Germany for one)].

Iran may have atomic weapons (atom bombs or hydrogen bombs). How? North Korea could sell them to Iran...
