Nunes demands information on Mifsud from government agencies House Intelligence Committee ranking member Rep. Devin Nunes on efforts to investigate the investigators.
The top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday urged President Trump to ask Prime Minister Theresa May whether British officials supported intelligence-gathering activities targeted at his campaign associates or coordinated in any way with the author of the unverified Trump "dossier" -- as the president prepares to make a state visit to Britain in June.
"I respectfully request that you ask Prime Minister May about the British government's knowledge of the Steele dossier and whether the British government took any unilateral actions based on information provided by [Christopher] Steele or at the request of any U.S. departments," California Republican Rep. Devin Nunes wrote in a letter to Trump, exclusively obtained by Fox News.
Nunes cited a May 19 article in The Telegraph titled, "Theresa May's spy chiefs were briefed on explosive Christopher Steele dossier before Donald Trump." The report said the heads of MI5 and MI6 and a top May adviser were told about Steeles salacious memos on the Trump campaign after his 2016 election victory -- before Trump was made aware.
Saying the article raised "important questions about the potential role foreign government officials may have played in spreading the dossier's false allegations and what actions they may have taken in response to the allegations," Nunes posed a series of questions for Trump to ask May.

And there you have it. What MI-6 did was a use of force designed to usurp a duly elected president. Act of WAR!
Heheheh. HAHAHAHAH. Okay, I no longer think you are a serious person. Use of words is not use of force. And you can’t tell the difference.
Welllll..... hmmmmm..... Did the head of GCHQ resign in order to spend more time with his family?
Perhaps more to the point - was Christopher Steele really 'retired'? That cover gave Brit intel perfect deniability of involvement in a plot to overthrow a US president.
Who ever heard of a 'retired' intel agent? Even le Carre's George Smiley kept getting pulled out of retirement.
If a former career CIA officer generated a document that smeared one of the UK top candidates in an election while being payed by their opposition, would anyone believe the CIA had no idea this was happening?
Of course not. Well, Steele was and MI6 guy for close to 25 years. Does anyone who thinks about it really believe that such a man could get approached by a candidate for US PRESIDENT to smear the other presidential candidate with lies from sources tied directly to Putin and it wouldn't be something MI6 was aware of? Personally, I fully believe that MI6 knew what was being done and they were supportive of it. And so dies the "special relationship" in my mind. Britain is just another country to me now.
Theresa May is better viewed as a trans-nationalist. Britain being “just another county” misses the point. The vast majority of government bureaucrats worldwide aim to transform “governance.”
RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!!
Happens all the time?
Can you name another case where an ally or allies conspired with Americans committing sedition to unseat a duly elected American president?
Cuz I can’t.
I was thinking along the lines of intermingling royalty. Elites do all sorts of things to cement power along bloodline. The US was supposed to be immune from that, but it isn't.
What I find more amazing in this case is that the US government was working aginst its own people. Whatever foreign content was involved was more procedural than substantive.
Maybe she will do it as a parting gift, nothing so brutal as a woman scorned!
It's possible that some of our "allies" spied on Trump so that "our" government could say "It wasn't me!"
