Nunes demands information on Mifsud from government agencies House Intelligence Committee ranking member Rep. Devin Nunes on efforts to investigate the investigators.
The top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday urged President Trump to ask Prime Minister Theresa May whether British officials supported intelligence-gathering activities targeted at his campaign associates or coordinated in any way with the author of the unverified Trump "dossier" -- as the president prepares to make a state visit to Britain in June.
"I respectfully request that you ask Prime Minister May about the British government's knowledge of the Steele dossier and whether the British government took any unilateral actions based on information provided by [Christopher] Steele or at the request of any U.S. departments," California Republican Rep. Devin Nunes wrote in a letter to Trump, exclusively obtained by Fox News.
Nunes cited a May 19 article in The Telegraph titled, "Theresa May's spy chiefs were briefed on explosive Christopher Steele dossier before Donald Trump." The report said the heads of MI5 and MI6 and a top May adviser were told about Steeles salacious memos on the Trump campaign after his 2016 election victory -- before Trump was made aware.
Saying the article raised "important questions about the potential role foreign government officials may have played in spreading the dossier's false allegations and what actions they may have taken in response to the allegations," Nunes posed a series of questions for Trump to ask May.

Waste of time , May is an Idiot
She’ll just cry.
Good luck with that.
“This is an ex-Prime Minister”
IMHO the mere asking of the question says volumes. I believe that the President has delayed release of documents because they will show that Steele was not alone in his opposition to Trump in the UK. And if Trump can get answers we will see that the UK, a five eyes intelligence partner, was complicit in assisting the U.S. IC in their attempted coup.
listen to first 4 minutes-plus of this BBC report on this story. Gary O’Donoghue, BBC correspondent in Washington DC, impeachment, Watergate, cover-up, etc. a disgrace:

BBC is still ignoring every aspect of Spygate/Coupgate/Russiagate etc and protecting the British establishment.
[Dead end...Teresa May is likely to be unemployed within the next few hours. ]
Prime Ministers don’t often leave Number 10 but stay in Parliament. And even if she stays she ain’t gonna be answering questions from the President.
If we take it as an act of war and nuke London, we would save the United Kingdom from itself.
How kind.
So, here we have good old ‘do nothing’ Devin “pressing”
Trump to lean on PM May. Of course it can’t go anywhere
according to our FR experts. In my book Nunes has done
just about all he can like he has from the start of
this mess. As a committee chairman he took our heat
because the Ryans of the House wouldn’t follow up and
support him. Now, I guess he is just ‘pissing in the
wind’ like the old Jerry Jeff Walker song goes. At
least some of you part time Nunes critics should
now know he doesn’t give up.
Exactly!
Well said.
The Steele dossier was, IMHO, a part of deniable black op, using Steele as a cut out. Obama got MI-6 to do what the CIA could not do by law.
Obam is a dirt bag of the 1st order, a liberal fascist. Now the Queen is sucking up to President Trump by inviting him to a state dinner.
What MI-6 did was an act of war, an attempt to usurp a duly elected President of the United States. And its still going on. Heads should role.
Yep. This is an allegation that the UK colluded with the DEMs to affect the outcome of the US election. That is a serious allegation.
Trump won't even ask May. The purpose of this letter is to inform the public of the allegation.
Labeling this an act of war is nonsense. I understand the outrage, but governments meddle with each other's publics all the time, that's normal international conduct, not always savory, but generally short of war.
Even the Russian collusion hoax wasn't labeled as an act of war.
What's fairly amazing in the recent events is that YOUR OWN GOVERNMENT is cutting you off at the knees. That foreigners do so is to be expected.
