House Speaker Nancy Pelosi snapped at White House counselor Kellyanne Conway after a tense, aborted meeting on infrastructure Wednesday, a senior administration official told CNBC.
“I don’t talk to staff. I talk directly to the president,” Pelosi said after Conway asked the speaker a question, according to the official.
The interaction followed President Donald Trump’s abrupt exit from a meeting with Democratic congressional leaders.
Pelosi earlier in the day accused the president of engaging in a “cover-up” by blocking White House aides from providing testimony and responding to document requests from congressional investigations.
The president responded by saying he doesn’t “do cover-ups” and that he could not work with Democrats on legislation until they stopped investigating him.
In a last-minute press event at the Rose Garden, Trump said he “walked into the room and I told Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi, ‘I want to do infrastructure’ ... but we can’t do it under these circumstances.”

I don’t think she was stabbing him in the back when she said publicly that she hoped the people around him who care would do an intervention. Nor was it in the back when President Trump said she was crazy. I think the President went into that meeting planning to walk out because the podium he then went to was already staged with his political messages. They both seem to be pretty much in your face.
Perhaps. I just remember their history and how Pelosi always seems so polite in person with Trump but then becomes a vicious beast when talking about it later to the press. I know those types.
Kellyanne should have told Pelosi about “not dealing with the staff”, that it’s the same thing Barr told Nadler in case she hadn’t heard.
Two can play that game and Barr is better at it than drunk Pelosi.
These days the only people Pelosi talks to are her pet cat and Ocasio Cortez.
Kelly Conway shouldn’t feel so bad about being stiffed by this harradin. Conway showed the world just how literally insane Pelosi truly is.
I’m starting to believe that Pelosi is actually in love with the “bad boy” Donald J. Trump.
Anyone remember when GW was POTUS and Nutzy became speaker she declared herself “The most powerful woman in the world” and demanded her own Air Force 1 jet?
Maybe we should ask said staff if you don’t talk to them. She wouldn’t lie now would she?
