Chick-Fil-A to Become Third-Largest Fast Food Chain in U.S. FROM THE WALL STREET JOURNAL: As the biggest fast-food chains have expanded menus to attract new customers, Chick-fil-A Inc. has gained ground with a different strategy: its focus on chicken sandwiches.
Since its founding in Atlanta in 1967 by entrepreneur Truett Cathy, Chick-fil-A’s signature item has been its breaded chicken-breast sandwich served with pickles on a buttered toasted bun. The company sells breakfast and salads, too, but its relatively simple menu stands out, compared with its fast-food rivals.
Now five decades later, the closely held company this year is poised to become the third-biggest U.S. restaurant chain by sales behind McDonald’s Corp. MCD -0.39% and Starbucks Corp. , according to food-service consultancy Technomic Inc. The growth reflects Chick-fil-A’s expansion over the past decade, as well as consumers’ broader turn toward chicken.

Sales from Chick-fil-A’s restaurants have tripled over the past decade, reaching $10.2 billion last year, Technomic said, even though the chain is closed on Sundays, a practice implemented by its conservative Christian founder.

Congratulations to Chick Fil A. Never been to one of their restaurants. They just aren’t around here, but from what I’ve known about Chick Fil A I’ve always supported their efforts with good thoughts, good wishes, and prayers.

The one closest to my house is always packed. It just recently reopened, they razed the old building and rebuilt. Booming buisness.

It’s a stretch to call Starbux a restaurant.
Lettuce frill, garden tomato and cheese atop the delightful grilled chicken. And dont forget the waffle fries.
Ignore them. Don't let them bait you.
Hobby Lobby did the same thing.
If you react within a couple days of being accused your enemy will be emboldened.
Don't issue a statement acknowledging them. Don't respond to them.
If you don't respond or acknowledge them their collective rage can't be sustained and their protestations will fizzle.

Does anyone know where Burger King is ranked? I thought they (and maybe even Wendy’s)would be ranked above Chick-Fil-A.
Puts a smile on my face. In spite of the leftists targeting Chick Fil A for destruction, they are growing and stronger than ever.
I just enjoyed a sandwich with double pickles yesterday.
But compared to McD’s, Wendy’s or Burger King the food is far superior and I am not even a big fan of chicken.
I would take a good hamburger any day.
The burger places just don’t make good burgers or fries any more.
I usually go to Arby’s over the burger places these days because of those failings.
If the burger places don’t start paying attention to quality soon, they will totally lose me and people like me who care more about quality than price. I like my food fast but not over taste.
