Attorney General William Barr is not expected to return to Capitol Hill on Thursday for a second day of testimony, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to The Hill.
The House Judiciary Committee is still expected to hold a hearing Thursday, according to reports, even without an appearance from their star witness.
Barr's appearance was called into question throughout the week, as the Justice Department objected to Democrats’ plans to allow committee counsels to question Barr on his handling of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.
The attorney general has been at odds with the Democratic-led panel over the terms of the House hearing, with the attorney general saying he only wants to answer questions from lawmakers themselves.
On Wednesday, the Judiciary panel voted along party lines to approve a measure allowing members of committee staff to question Barr for an additional hour, despite fierce objections from Republicans.
Barr testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday and faced a barrage of questions on the explosive revelation that Mueller objected to his four-page memo in writing on March 27, saying it failed to “fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of his investigation’s findings.
Barr was supposed to testify before the House panel at 9 a.m. on Thursday.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), a member of the House Judiciary panel, argued in an interview on Hill.TV on Wednesday that Barr should skip the scheduled appearance.
Jerry “Nibbler” Nadler doesn’t like that.

Why should he go, honestly what more can be said he answered everything today..how many times does he need to repeat himself..he released the ENTIRE Mueller report, what are the Dems saying now, that the Mueller report is not the REAL Mueller report, that the real one is floating around somewhere and that is the one that shows Russian collusion LOL
I think Barr fully capture the SUBSTANCE... no collusion and no obstruction (because there was NO CRIME to ‘obstruct’)
As for not capturing ‘the mood’ of the 13 angry democrat partisans, well that is not relevant.

You have to admire one thing about the dems in their resistance movement. When you think that they could not possible escalate things more, they escalate things more.

The jackass is an appropriate symbol for the Democrat Party, but the kangaroo would be almost as appropriate, predisposed as they are to kangaroo-court type proceedings.
They can’t control either one. They are trying to impose ridiculous conditions on the hearing in order to hide that they are tapping out.
