The city of Los Angeles is honoring Obama by renaming a road in his honor next month.
Rodeo Road will be officially renamed Obama Boulevard on May 4 during a renaming ceremony and street festival on May 4, according to a social media post from City Council President Herb Wesson.
The City Council unanimously approved Wessons proposal last summer to rename a 4-mile stretch of Rodeo Road between Jefferson Boulevard and Arlington Avenue in honor of the 44th president, KTLA-TV reported.
The renaming ceremony and festival will take place where Obama Boulevard intersects with Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in South L.A.

A street in a failing city in a failing state named after a failed president.
How apropos.
Residences and businesses are on that road. The businesses will be spending some money changing their signs, ads, letterheads, etc. It happened to a shop I worked for. The powers-that-be renumbered the street lots which was not appreciated by the businesses.
Won’t it be exciting for residents on that street to know their tent has increased in property value?
Pretty much every major city has a MLK JR blvd somewhere. It’s always in the more rundown area. They could just put Obama blvd next to it.
Ah, thanks.
Atlanta has a Cynthia McKinney Boulevard
I don’t know who that is.
Except for the Chinese take out joint.
What time do the celebratory shootings start?
Great place to let the homeless camp, shoot drugs, and take bodacious dumps in the street.
I notice they didn’t name Rodeo DRIVE after Obama. I’ll bet The Mooch is going to pitch a fit over that!
It will be printed in BOLD letters on the with fecal map.
They decided this overpass was the perfect location to ne renamed "Obama Boulevard" because it has many things in common with Obama himself:
- It doesn't go anywhere
- Serves no useful purpose
- Huge waste of resources
- Butt of countless jokes
- Many people who have followed it have lost everything or just disappeared
- No record of who initiated construction, who actually built it, who claims ownership
- All documentation is missing:
- No blueprints
- No building permits
- No quality inspection reports
- No record of funding sources

The United States is not supposed to have a noble class. So I am against any public property being named after a living person. That goes for roads. And it goes for aircraft carriers as well.
I don’t know how to describe her except as an attitudinal black gadfly congress critter. She is the scion, the daughter of a racist father politican
Ill bet it wont be where all the homeless squatters are set up!
