White House adviser Kellyanne Conway said Monday that special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation disproved a salacious allegation involving President Trump and Russian prostitutes.
"There was no golden showers," Conway told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House, referring to a claim in former British spy Christopher Steele's 2016 opposition research dossier that a tape showed Trump cavorting with prostitutes in Moscow.
Steele's research was financed by Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee, and Trump has indirectly denied the claim, noting in 2017 his aversion to germs.
