California representative Eric Swalwell is the latest empty suit to enter the presidential sweepstakes on the democrat side.
He evidently intends to make gun control – or rather, gun confiscation – his Numero Uno campaign agenda issue.
Last year Swalwell wrote: “An assault weapon, then, is a hand-held weapon of war, capable of spraying a crowd with more lethal fire in seconds. We should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, we should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law, and we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons. The ban would not apply to law enforcement agencies or shooting clubs.”
It appears obvious that Swalwell’s intent is to confiscate all guns, but assumes it easiest to just begin by outlawing the scariest looking ones. Like all leftists, he knows that once the framework is in place, they’ll be no stopping that inevitability.
Swalwell added, “Our courts haven’t found a constitutional right to have assault weapons, anyway. When the Supreme Court held in 2008 that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm, Justice Antonin Scalia wrote that this right ‘is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.'”

No, it’s his intent to start a shooting war with American Citizens and murder those who won’t comply.

No. In the first place there’s the First Amendment.
In the second place, the more the rabid left talks, the more the center moves away from them...
There needs to be “common sense socialism control”, as well as “common sense Islamism control”. We certainly don’t want either socialism or Islam in our schools or government buildings. Universal background checks and licensing are a must as well.
Those who are convicted felons, mentally ill or have committed acts of domestic violence should be precluded from either.

You can refute when Dems say untrue and misleading things, but you cannot prevent them from saying it.
Banning discussion of the 2nd Amendment is an unacceptable idea.
I know democratics that own guns. I know democratics that go to the range to shoot. I know democratics that hunt. Will the confiscation apply to those folks as well or only registered Republicans and Conservatives?

Some details, operational plans, logistics, the political will to do so, etc, would be helpful.
I’d like to get the discussion started. Gun grabbers are always vague about how they will carry out their totalitarian intentions but can’t seem to articulate just how.
In 2016 I was very afraid Hillabitch would steal the election and I studied closely scenarios by which confiscation might be carried out, from a power mad Prez to power mad governors of blue states. I concluded that a sweeping door to door a la Australia gun seizure just wasn’t feasible.
Unfortunately, Red Flag laws are intended to do just that, one hapless citizen with an angry ex at a time.
