..Saginaw Bay, Wisconsin as epicenter of one of the impacts.”

Saginaw bay, WI, or Saginaw bay, MI?

*Three thousand years after it was founded, Gobekli Tepe was purposefully buried to protect its heritage.*

but wait, there’s more: “They reached Britain in about 4,000BC.” and built Stonehenge.

Same folk? So maybe not such a slow, quiet demise but more of a hasty, forced exodus?

Yup.
And they form a wide arc, which points back towards some place in Minnesota or North Illinois... Ice sheet territory...

Sounds like “Magicians of the Gods” by Graham Hancock which came out several years ago.

There were two strikes 1000 years apart (each was a one mile diameter rock) - the first ended the last ice Age, the second began the Younger Dryas, the coldest recent period.

The asteroids are believed to be the remains of a giant comet which broke up long long before. It is believed that the Earth passes through the dense part of the debris field every so often and receives one mile diameter asteroids (otherwise it just a nice light show). The original excavator (now deceased) believed the carvings indicated future strikes. It is a warning to the future and is why it was buried. We are entering such a period now.

It’s called Saginaw Bay in Michigan. There is less and less doubt that it is a crater created by an impact on a glacial ice sheet, but there is a major dispute as to which Ice Age the impact occurred in. See:

There is record. They did not all have iridium.
this one had platinum.

We live in an age where the important thing is an “interesting narrative”. Facts or factual support are unnecessary. There also seems to be a need for a catastrophic explanation for every mystery yet to be solved.

Couldn’t these be sinkholes? We have hundreds of lakes that are formed with salt deposits simply melt away and collapse. These do not look like impact craters. Too close together in the first image and possibly impact craters in the second.

I’m no expert, just trying to use reason to find out if the timeline is correct. All of human history goes back 6 thousand years, no evidence of humans beyond that. No tombs, no artifacts, no civilizations etc. This would be a first.

R.B. maybe this;

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7130014.stm

"Startling evidence has been found which shows mammoth and other great beasts from the last ice age were blasted with material that came from space. v Eight tusks dating to some 35,000 years ago all show signs of having being peppered with meteorite fragments.

The ancient remains come from Alaska, but researchers also have a Siberian bison skull with the same pockmarks.

The scientists released details of the discovery at a meeting of the American Geophysical Union in San Francisco, US.

They painted a picture of a calamitous event over North America that may have severely knocked back the populations of some species." snip.... (More at link!)

Caption "The embedded particles have a high iron-nickel content"

But having gone out and tested the hypothesis of tusk impacts, and having apparently uncovered such items - the team was then astonished to find the animal remains were about 20,000 years older than had been anticipated.

The researchers are now considering a number of possibilities - one that could even tie the older remains to the younger event.

Tusk particle (Firestone et al) The embedded particles have a high iron-nickel content "People who collect these items today in Siberia and Alaska frequently find the tusks sticking out of the permafrost or eroding out of a riverbank," explained Mr West.

"Maybe, these were tusks from dead animals that were just exposed on the surface, so when this thing blew up in the atmosphere, it would have peppered them. The date could really be anywhere from 13,000 to 35-40,000 years ago."
