Hes right! Just like country pop is basically pop music with a slight twang in it. Mind you that country music in general isnt my favorite kind of music to listen to but I do recognize that this genre is pretty nonexistent in its original format now and days

I’m satisfied with all my old BOB WILLS AND THE TEXAS PLAYBOYS, SPADE COOLEY, HOYLE NIX, Marty Robbins and BUCK OWENS records from the past. Haven’t listened to what passes for country music in forty years.
Not long ago I was in a farm supply store and they had someone howling some song over the intercom. I’m saying...”What in the H-— is that noise!”! Then I realized it was some noise being passed off as a “Country music”.
It's okay I guess. Never really breaks out as far as I'm concerned.
