Both groups were surveyed on a host of factors, including their use of marijuana and other drugs. The studys authors concluded that people who smoked marijuana on a daily basis were three times more likely to be diagnosed with psychosis compared with people who never used the drug. For those who used high-potency marijuana daily, the risk jumped to nearly five times."

Caffeine and sugar are made by plants ... So are nicotine, cocaine, morphine, tetrahydrocannabinol, mescaline ...
Psilocybin is made by mushrooms, ethanol is made by yeasts.
And oxidane is commonly made in various laboratories and factories, so I suggest you might possibly want to avoid overexposure to it.

I can only say that I can walk out of my building right now, and I will see at least 2 - 3 people stoned out of their brains or passed out on the sidewalk. Lunch break?
:)

Drinking THC will indeed kill you Rephrasing:
Drinking bleach will kill you. Smoking THC, not so much.

What exactly has been known for 2,500 years? And who claimed it's wrong?I'm going to go out an a limb here and guess you're a dope smoker, because the answers to you questions would be obvious to any sober person.

That limb just broke under you.

No, since your "2,500 years" remark was a reply to the original post and not any of the 92 others that preceded yours, there's no good way to tell.
You can clarify - or stand self-exposed as a blowhard (and incompetent poster). Your call.

I once worked with a brilliant software developer who was frequently high. He organized the modules he worked on by his state of mind, because when he was high he was irritated by the code he wrote while straight, and vice-versa. Nobody else could tell the difference.

I first learned of Marijuana back in 1967, through a Navy "MJ advocator". (We weren't permitted drugs in our "spook" specialty).
Of the six people I knew who smoked MJ, I eventually associated with only five.
One unmarried couple had a miscarriage, and moved away. Of the remaining three, one died (at 39), and two [neighbors] were on oxygenas I reported here eight months ago. Now, there's one on oxygen, as the other has died.
As for alcohol, you may recall the article here of singer Justin Bieber, who, under the influence of both alcohol and MJ, drag-raced his Ferrari through narrow Miami Beach residential lanes.
It is said of alcohol, that the first sip causes the loss of Judgement!

I don't think Doctors are in great supply that prescribe it thus far though that's changing. So it's understandable some might self medicate for their health issues....but I'd be afraid to do so myself. Although I understand CBD oil and lozenges are safer.

Yes, people are going to handle it differently just as they would a prescription or over the counter medications. I personally have a low tolerance to even over the counter so I avoid even that unless I'm really uncomfortable.....as with migraines. Sp it's really up to the individual if they want or not to mess around with pot and take the risk.

I don't think Doctors are in great supply that prescribe it thus far though that's changing.Maybe because they have seen research that some of the fabulous medicinal claims made for marijuana are more wishful thinking than fact. At least that is the consensus from the physicians that I know (admittedly a limit sample).

Agree....I'm not sure if they can legally prescribe or what that entails either. I think the controversy is going to end up like hormone therapy is for woman..pros and cons on both side of the issues still today.

They don't "prescribe" - to keep their federal prescribing permissions, they "recommend" medical marijuana as allowed by state law (different medical conditions for different states).

Probably so..... ...interesting in this area a clinic opened to sign people up for Gov. medical marijuana cards. An acquaintance paid the $200. Dr's fee to explain their health issue and meet with a Physician to advise on dosage etc. He apparently didn't 'prescribe' anything specific rather 'suggested' she start with a low dosage and see if she found relief..and increase the dosage over a few weeks until she did. That sounded like he wasn't going to risk a prescribed dose and more like leaving up to the person to find their way by hit or miss?. So that reveals they really don't have all the data on usage and effect etc.
