Why would these states give away their influence over the election of the president? What is going on?

I’m wondering how this might help Trump, give him an even bigger landslide in 2020.

After which the same rat bastards who concocted this absurdity with then scream bloody murder.

Only a 1000 Ohions signed onto it...The issue was raised by a pro-Clinton group in Maryland.

The proposed amendment was submitted to the attorney general’s office by Columbus election lawyer Don McTigue, along with 1,000 signatures of Ohio voters collected by a professional canvasser who listed a Washington, D.C. address.

However, when cleveland.com asked McTigue who was behind the effort, he referred comment to Reed Hundt, a former Federal Communications Commission chair who is now chair and CEO of Making Every Vote Count, a non-profit pushing for a binding national popular vote. Reached by phone, Hundt declined to comment Monday.

I agree. States have been getting with too many of these compacts lately, all against Trump.

I’ve said this before, Trump or someone with his ability to get huge coverage, needs to be telling people origins, found ing era things. Explain why electoral college is important and this “popular’ vote thing is bogus to our form of government.

explain how our founders thought of illegals and why they set up our country in ways to avoid the problems we have now.

etc

Trump just saying congress needs to, blah blah blah, doesn’t tell the poeple who have been brain washed in schools for the last 40 years start to understand the huge lies the Lefts been pushing for decades.

It’s completely inconceivable to me how or why the people of a state would vote for this.

Quite simple, really. The 'rats in the swing states that went to Trump feel "disenfranchised" that their vote meant nothing. So now they want to make sure that all votes in their respective states mean nothing, and just let the leftist loons in the Northeast Corridor (Boston to Washington, for those in Rio Linda), Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco determine the President.

Not to mention all the illegals in those cities who are registered to vote Democrat, whether they know it or not.

Yeah, no.
It violates the Constitution of the United States to do that.
It was ruled that the states must obey the US Constitution.

All these idiotic, suicidal states that are doing this now (including the one I live in) will reverse this as soon as (if) Trump wins the next election by popular vote too.

(Assuming that he can overcome the massive cheating that the Dems finally perfected last November)

We have that same problem in Washington State where the liberal Iron Curtain of Seattle goes D and votes for the rest of the state. They now have a Governor, Legislature and Senate enacting bills that are far left, turning this state into a hell-hole copy of California.

How far do the democrats have to go before they are declared a criminal organization? Slavery, check. Civil war, check. Importing millions of illegals, check. Fomenting a so-far failed coup, check. Subverting the Constitution... check.

Article II of the U.S. Constitution and the 12th amendment. There is no mention of national vote popular or otherwise. So this so called state contract awarding the states vote to the candidate with the most national votes is piffle.

It’s not legal. All it will take is a lawsuit by those who lose their votes due to the state not recognizing the popular vote winner in the state.
