Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-N.Y.) on Friday tore into the National Rifle Association after at least one gunman opened fire at two New Zealand mosques, leaving at least 49 people dead.
The New York lawmaker condemned the fatal attack on Twitter, focusing her message on the American gun group.
“At 1st I thought of saying, “Imagine being told your house of faith isn’t safe anymore. But I couldn’t say ‘imagine,’” the lawmaker wrote, citing the deadly shootings at a Charleston, S.C. church, a Pittsburgh, Penn., synagogue and a Sutherland Springs, Texas church.
“What good are your thoughts & prayers when they don’t even keep the pews safe?” She added.
Ocasio-Cortez noted that “thoughts and prayers” is a reference to the NRA phrase she says is “used to deflect conversation away from policy change during tragedies.”
Only God knows how many lives have been saved by prayer.
The destruction of freedom is every Democrat’s core craving.

I think I read there is a 100,000 gun owners in NZ.
But two defenseless mosques getting wiped out while waiting for their police protection could swing things the other way. The Muslims may demand their own protection.

I’m not sure why you’re insistent on injecting your personal circumstances into a larger demographic analysis. There can be no doubt that the population of fertile, idle Third Worlders already here in 20+ Million numbers will increase geometrically thanks to their disdain for birth control and ready access to a welfare state into which they pay nothing.
I don’t know how many times I need to post a similar/identical sentiment but please do me the courtesy of reading and comprehending at least one of them.

Well, they were Muslims, so she has a point. My Christian thoughts and prayers are nulled out by their faith in a satanic religion.
My thoughts exactly.I travel around the country and spend a lot of time in the pews of churches all over. Many of them have members who carry and quite a few have the ushers quietly armed. “Arming the pews” will make sure this kind of massacre does not occur.
She only switched to an attack on the NRA after people called her out. Her original comment was 100% a jab at religion.

You will kindly note that I have not written one damn word about Muslims. I have not mentioned Islam or any other variation.
My initial response was to Cvengr's post which references 20M+ illegal aliens, the vast majority of whom are Latin American.
My hope was that 'Spanish-speaking' might be a clear enough indicator of the subject under discussion. Perhaps you know of large (or small) concentrations of Spanish-speaking Muslims within the borders of the US. I, unfortunately, do not.
I also hope that you will concede that restaurants named La Casa, La Taqueira, etc. are more likely to be operated by, staffed by and visited by Latinos as opposed to Muslims, not least because pork dishes feature prominently on the menus. These restaurants are in the same neighborhood as the persons in the photo.
I'm only a reluctant keyboard warrior because you insist on prolonging the battle via your refusal to read the printed words on the page rather than pursue a figment completely of your imagination.
Here's the thing -- it's hard for anyone to take you seriously when you complain about Muslims having children...Stop complaining about Muslims having children

What does this hoary cliche mean in this context? Am I meant to start having children willy-nilly? How will my fertility rate affect the Jimenez family across town and vice versa? What are the terms of victory you apparently seek? Is the goal to outbreed them so that if they have 50,000,000 and we have 50,000,001 then we 'win' despite a good chunk of their 50,000,000 devouring the welfare state into which they have contributed nothing and resulting in a rather more crowded nation as a result of the demographic competition you endorse?
