Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-N.Y.) on Friday tore into the National Rifle Association after at least one gunman opened fire at two New Zealand mosques, leaving at least 49 people dead.
The New York lawmaker condemned the fatal attack on Twitter, focusing her message on the American gun group.
“At 1st I thought of saying, “Imagine being told your house of faith isn’t safe anymore. But I couldn’t say ‘imagine,’” the lawmaker wrote, citing the deadly shootings at a Charleston, S.C. church, a Pittsburgh, Penn., synagogue and a Sutherland Springs, Texas church.
“What good are your thoughts & prayers when they don’t even keep the pews safe?” She added.
Ocasio-Cortez noted that “thoughts and prayers” is a reference to the NRA phrase she says is “used to deflect conversation away from policy change during tragedies.”
“God allows wicked people to do bad things that hurt and kill others (free will).”

Didn’t Pelosi say exactly the same thing to the NRA about ‘thoughts and prayers’ after the synagogue shooting in Pennsylvania?
They’ve been using this “thoughts and prayers” sneer for a while.

This is somewhat of a copy tactic over the 2011 Norway attack, with Anders Behring Breivik. Breivik also got into this manifesto-type ‘explanation’, used a Mini-14 and Gluck pistol, but had nothing to do with religion. In the Breivik case, he slaughtered mostly kids at a summer camp, who the parents were the politically connected of Sweden. He felt that taking out this generation, would unravel the political mess that was harming Norway.
In this case, the NZ shooter is alive, claims ‘innocence’ and wants the trial to present all of his ideas in a public spectacle. I suspect that the authorities are debating the court business, and intend to just declare him insane.
Having been to NZ (last year), I will say that the south isle in particular has most of its population around Christchurch. There’s just not much crime in the city itself and only a limited number of police. I can’t think of any part of the town that was really unsafe to walk, even at night.
The little Taco Barmaid Princess needs to tell us how the NRA is involved in the shooting in New Zealand. Is she confusing New Zealand with New Orleans?

AOC and her parrots in the media need to be reminded that the real source of “GUN violence” is not in the gun, but the human using it.
Afterall, the media did not talk about “plane violence” on 9/11!
