A reminder for those that gave the “children” the benefit of the doubt that they didn’t know about the scams.(there could be exceptions) Always remember the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Once upon a time kids went to college for the value added to their lives by the acquisition of knowledge not easily available otherwise.
Nowadays too many kids go to college for the cachet associated with the name of some school on their resume. And since it’s almost impossible to flunk out of college these days (you can if you try), gaining admission is really the only major hurdle for folks with this mindset.
So in a way it was only a matter of time before somebody came up with an organized approach to gaming the system. And so far as the universities were concerned, the major consideration was how far could they push the tuition costs and still not drive away the marks.

What I keep noticing is there are ZERO kids of politicians involved in this:

I’m happy this is coming out, don’t misunderstand, but I think part of the reason it’s permitted to come out it cuz it’s rich people:
The left doesn’t like that cuz the perps are RICH.
The right doesn’t like it cuz of the hypocrisy and the perps are doing something WRONG.
The two sides have this magic spell over them that they agree on some kind of principle, but that’s wrong.
I’ll be really, really impressed when this same truth comes out for the kids of politicians, and the media covers it:

I remember the scene in Oliver Stone’s “W” where a drunken, stoned GW (he was only 30 at the time) wants to fight his father but then he has an acceptance from Harvard Business School - “see Dad I did it all by myself”. Sure.
