Sociopaths rise to the top—in politics, business, religions, any other “non-profit” organizations, homeowners associations, any organization of any size.

It is just the way it is.

The Founding Fathers of the US knew this very well, and tried to create as many checks and balances as they could, and then relied on factions (of sociopaths!) to offset each other.

It was a good idea, but it is unrealistic to expect the tide of evil could be held back forever.

Actually, Justice Gorsuch is an Episcopalian. At this time, he’s the only Protestant on the court.

Is that the Church of England?

I’m not making a big deal of this, but it is a significant shift over time.

David freaking Horowitz. One of my all time favorites. He’s right up there in my pantheon of conservative thinkers. I especially like that he’s a fighter.

He’s like a lightning strike of crackling energy.

Less to pick from.

Correct. Anabaptist denominations (Baptist being but one) are often regarded as not Protestant by people who know church history, since they claim they were never a part of the Catholic Church.

(Modern so-called Non-Denominational churches are mostly Anabaptist/Armenian functionally. I have never encountered one that aligns with any Protestant denomination, although some conflate Calvinist aspects within the broader context; the common denominator is that they all denounce Baptism as a Sacrament, considering it strictly symbolic.)

One estimate is that the Founding Fathers were about 70% Calvinist [Reformed].

It is significant that, to my knowledge and until recently, with Gorsuch, there was not one Protestant/Anabaptist SCOTUS judge.

I consider it not at all merely coincidental. There is in fact prejudice against social conservatives, and the above lead the way.

Anyone who thinks that the fix is not largely in with these things in DC is naive. The perennial politial/religious makeup of the SCOTUS is not accidental.

If not for Trump, we would not even have Gorsuch (and I am not a great fan of his).

The left always has a win-lose fix in: One may not criticize any of the secular, leftist, feminist Jewish SCOTUS judges for their biases, but they may relentlessly and openly attack social conservative Christian nominees for their biases with impunity.

The latter have far more in common with the Founding Fathers than the former.

IOW: When it comes to us, they say the SCOTUS does not exist to represent us or anyone, but when it comes to one of their sacred identity groups, it must be represented on SCOTUS or injustice will ensue.

As always, the complicit Controlled Opposition Party RINOpublicans are nearly useless to us.
