A House vote on a resolution condemning anti-Semitism, following recent comments by U.S. Rep Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., has been delayed, as Democrats scramble to rewrite the motion to include all forms of prejudice and progressives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez come to the defense of their embattled colleague.
The declaration – which doesn’t mention Omar by name – was initially set to be introduced Wednesday. It was to set out the history of anti-Semitism and other bigotry in America and provide examples of anti-Jewish tropes about divided loyalties.
It was also supposed to say the House “rejects anti-Semitism as hateful expressions of intolerance that are contradictory to the values that define the people of the United States.”
The resolution effort came after Omar – for at least the second time in recent months – ignited an uproar for echoing anti-Semitic tropes.
In February, she suggested on Twitter that supporters of Israel have been bought, and that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) contributes to pro-Israel politicians despite the fact that the group does not make campaign contributions. The congresswoman then accused American supporters of Israel of pushing people to have “allegiance to a foreign country.”

Well, as the population in Dearborn and surrounding areas continue to metastasize with muslim refugees, we’ll see how it all plays out. I think the people of Hamtramk, Michigan might disagree with you. And the numbers of muslim’s coming in there and breeding, I bet is far outpacing the number of hunters, etc that are in the sticks. As much as I hate to say that.
I work in Iraq, actually. And I work with a lot of Iraqi’s. It’s frightening how many have relatives in Michigan.

You don't need a crystal ball to see what would happen if this (G-d forbid) occurs. Just look at London. According to the Sun, "...at the beginning of 2018 it was reported that the crimewave in the UK capital was higher than the American city.
The total number of offences involving a knife or bladed instrument that were recorded by cops in London in the year to March 2018 rose to 40,147, a seven-year-high." The paper comically claims not to know the reasons for this increase. The clear reason is muzzlime mayor KHAN and his laissez faire attitude toward his fellow muzzlimes' committing crimes, especially against white Londoners. One could reasonably predict that a virulent antisemite muzzie like Omar would bring about the same as governor of MN.

The vast majority of Michiganders don't give a rip about Dearborn. It's a tiny blip somewhere 5 hours south of me. There isn't a mosque or a Muslim north of Detroit suburbs. Abdul never came north at all to campaign because he knew it would be a waste of time.
You may want to look at a map of Michigan. Then remember that the upper 3/4 of the state is filled with rifle owning truck driving flag flying people who endure the harshest winters, truly horrid roads, and eat a lot of hunted food. These same people always open doors for others and share their venison, and they never drive past you after you slid off the road into a snow bank.

Back when I was there in the 60s it was considered a city, but of course the population is much less now as the jobs went away.
I’m assuming you live there or are from there and, if so, know more about than me. But, I didn’t say they were going to elect the guy tomorrow or next week.
You mention that the upper 3/4 of the state is filled with rifle owning, truck driving, flag flying people, etc. Well, the majority of pretty much every “Blue State” in the country was like that or still like that. Look at the maps of NY, California, Washington, Illinois, Ohio, etc, etc and you’ll find the same thing. Only reason those states go “Blue” is because of the densely populated cities control everything. Look at Colorado. Real folks from Colorado aren’t about skiing and snowboarding, they’re about hunting mule deer. And that state is ruined because of Denver and Boulder.
Georgia and Florida, one could argue, are the epitome of rifle owning, truck driving states. Don’t have harsh winters but they have 10-15 military bases between them. Don’t think you get more “American” than that. And they almost elected avowed Socialists to the Governors office, who seek uncontrolled immigration. And if one were to drive through the tiny town of Clarkston, Ga, they wouldn’t think they were America, no matter how flattering the media portrays the place as for refugees, yearning to become American’s.
All I’m saying is, the foxes are in the hen house. And more are coming. They slowly creep in and before you know it, you have Hamtramk, Michigan.

You make good points. We just shoveled 3-4 feet of snow off the roof last week. When it’s -5 it feels invigorating, though -30 and-40 temps that we get most every Feb are a bit scary. At any rate muslims won’t destroy northern Mi in our lifetime. We will see if they come any further north than Midland. Detroit isn’t that big or left. Ann Arbor and Lansing are the ugly places in Michigan. Kalamazoo and Battlecreek. Thanks for serving our country.

I doubt it. We noticed our ceiling was bowing a bit and then found a crack. We’ve only been here 4 years so we’re still learning, and this has been a record snowfall year. Funny thing is the night after we got the snow off, the house was making all these noises, loud noises like cracks. Then it stopped. It got down to -10 that night so idk. But it subzeros here every winter and we have never heard those noises before.

Camp Grayling is right down the road from us. They get a lot of trainees esp from the south. We talk to them in stores. They mostly hate it here. Lol. There is nothing to do but hunt and watch wildlife. No malls. Limited shopping that is 45 minutes away.

You gotta like snow. It’s a great culture. They say moving here is like stepping back in time 50 years.
Our propane shut off in the blizzard. In the morning we called the propane company, city was shut down but he got out and to our place by noon, took ice off the filter out back, showing my husband how to do it, then refused to charge us anything. It’s a 35 minute drive one way. Businesses here still treat people like people.
That’s awesome. And even though 50 years ago was about when I was born, I’ll take it any day of the week over what we have going on today. My mother frequently talks about how much better things were in the 40 thru the 60s. Then the 70s hit and things started going downhill.
