“I am saddened that Rep. Omar continues to mischaracterize support for Israel. I urge her to retract this statement and engage in further dialogue with the Jewish community on why these comments are so hurtful,” wrote Ms. Lowey.
“The people of the 5th [Congressional District of Minnesota] elected me to serve their interest. I am sure we agree on that!,” she told Ms. Lowey as if Ms. Lowey’s support for Israel stance was not in the interests of the 17th Congressional District of New York.

Over half of observant Jews did vote for Donald Trump in 2016 -- we might call those Mark Levin Jews, about 1/4 of all Jews.
Among non-observant Jews, support for Democrats is in the 75%+ range. These numbers roughly equate tor those of other religious groups -- Protestants, Catholics, etc.
Overall, only 1/4 of "Religiously unaffiliated" voted Republican, while Evangelicals voted 81% for Trump.

Expelled from their own country, the large semi-arid nation state of Xinjiang where they were living peacefully for hundreds of years before China annexed them in 1949? The Chinese did the same with Tibet in 1951 and proceeded to enslave and murder hundreds of thousands, but the rest of the world was far too busy with other things to bother with a nation which most folks wouldn't be able to find on a map?
And the Chinese are still doing it. They forced Tajikistan to cede hundreds of square miles of their nation or face an invasion as recently as 2011. And of course, they are doing the same in the South China Sea, taking shoals and islands by force, calling them ancestral lands.
We or our children or grandchildren will be fighting a war with China eventually. They have had their own way in Central Asia for so long that they think (and they may ultimately be right) that they can do anything to anyone.
What you are saying is true. Throughout history,weaker civilizations and Nations have been conquered by stronger civilizations and Nations. Who, through prosperity have allowed themselves to become weak and are in turn themselves conquered by a stronger Nation. The United States is not exempt from this.
